Thank you for this. I've been having dreams about walking into the waiting ocean for years. I say dreams because, even though it always ends the same (with me pulled deep under the cold waves) they were never nightmares. The ocean felt sentient, waiting and inevitable. Never felt dread or fear in these dreams but only acceptance and purpose. The weird bit is that it's nearly always a different beach, one's I've never seen before.
As somebody who has listened to Silent Hill soundtracks countless times... this song didn't frighten me in the least. I'm not about to have nightmares. In fact it barely unsettled me. Still a good atmospheric song, though.
This song is a translation of an experience taking place in a more fundamental state of awareness. It's about a gateway we all recognize on a subconscious level. No one knows what's on the other side. friggin sick
There are few things to say about this: Point Pleasant, Virginia. December 15, 1967. Mothman Prophecies. Doesn't make it any less scary (but then again, since when has scary made me shy away from things?) Scary to realize something like this actually happened, eh?
there's a beauty to music this unsettling, to me. it gets under my skin and makes me uneasy but i love that just a piece of music can make me feel this way-- this is a masterpiece of truly unsettling sound the distortion on the speaker's voice has always been the thing in this to bother me the most-- it's subtle, just edited enough to sound *off* but you can't quite put your finger on why. just...**chef's kiss** wish i could listen to this for the first time again
Ah, thanks to the description I got a creepy dream now too, but mine was about a ghost boy who would distort and insert himself into pictures. From what I could tell, he likes faces in the dark and decomposing bodies. He can be summoned by listening to this song. Woke up scared as fuck.
YMMV. While I find this song chilling, it certainly isn't going to give me nightmares. I do think it's awesome though and might micspam it to see people's reactions ;)
I had a dream I was with my head in the ocean and my feet out of the water, trying to steer myself upright. I was afraid I would drown… but then I took a breath in, and I realized the water felt like air in my lungs
Came here after the "Every music genre explained" video... one of the best genre so far.
Beautiful track :)
What genre it's this?
@@itouchgrass_0 dark ambient
Me too
Guys have you read the description? I had a really bad nightmare (dream) after listening to this song...
me too! I'm making a progressively darker playlist and this is in it
"all I could see...
was black...
and all I could feel was the darkness above me...
and the lights...
coming from below.
I knew I was dying. "
Thank you for this.

makes me feel like there is someone else in my bedroom, watching me, yet I can't see them, but I can feel their breath on my neck.
kinda weird bro
🤣🤣
So, so soothing. It's like the void herself whispering in my ear, beckoning me back home...
You really had to make this into a creepypasta with the description
Creepy and cool vibes though
This is fucking amazing. Dark Ambient + Creepy voice sample = Obscure Epicness
I kept waiting for the song to start
So cool, I can feel some Silent Hill vibes
Glad to see this is still up, I was talking with friends about situations where we almost drowned and I remembered listening to this years ago.

Oh, OK, part of the spoken part is from "The Mothman Prophecies." Worth seeing.

I know what it feels like to be drowning and this more unnerved me than scared me
One of the creepiest tracks ever made
falling asleep to this is wild
Lolll that's the spirit 👏 😅
I don't know why but his song calms me down and helps me focus.
this is bussin
came here from a video about a music genre iceberg, this was somewhere around the middle of the iceberg. very good and disturbing, great execution.
I feel like this throws you into a backwards version of falling down the tunnel in alice in wonder land in total slow motion...wuuuut
holy shit i remember listening to this like two years ago
im no less freaked out now than i was then and its not even 5am this time around
how did you even get this lol, moon
I can't find anything about it.. anywhere @__@
This owns.
I need the 'lyrics'(it's more a poem, though)for this, I swear.

I don't live near an ocean so I have no idea what it's like to be in water this deep

If you're a teacher doing detention, this would be GREAT for that.
I feeel really light headed and weird like idk how to explain t but the secound the audio started to play i felt like falling over
This song is guaranteed to give you nightmares.
Sounds like the music of the devil. I can so imagine imagine the dark cold descent into hell when this song plays.
I asked myself why people think hell is full of flames. I think it’s a very cold place.
try watching this with your hands completely blackening out your eyes in a pitch black room, its really something else.
Oooh fun
May God have mercy on my soul
Isn't the audio from the Mothman Prophecies?
I just HAD to click a link to this while taking a break from a massive Bioshock marathon.
WHYYY.
its just after midnight, and im just starting to listen to this song. im not sleeping tonight :L
it's fine
making a hip hop remix of this posthaste
Velvet Pony by Psapp scares me a lot more than this. I hate those songs that have a cheerful feel while being creepy.

Shit like this just don’t bother me. I’m impervious.
