I recently ordered the GR IIIx because I found a good deal and I have been hyped by this camera for a while. I have watched many videos, so I am fully convinced! Can't wait for it to arrive! I have a pre-order for the Fujifilm X100VI, but I feel it won't be restocked any time soon, at least not for the next year :(
It’s a UV filter from JJC. It’s basically a piece of glass that you put on like a sticker and it’s supposed to prevent dust from getting into the lens.
There is only 2 issues with this camera. #1 is the 50/50 you might get dust in your sensor or you might never get it, #2 that is the worst, i want one really bad and they are all back ordered its ridiculous😭😭😭
I haven’t had issues with dust on sensor. I am also using the UV filter by JJC that sticks onto the lens to prevent dust from getting in (not sure how effective it is long term). And yeah demand blew up for these cameras because no one could get the X100V or VI lol
I would only buy GR IV if it has the following features: - fixed non extendable lens, I don’t care if camera is thicker slightly - dust proof so I can take photos on the beach without worrying - larger body for better ergonomics, I don’t care about pocket size, I don’t carry cameras in pocket anyway - fast AF, necessary for family/children photography Nice to have: - monochrome only - no video, no microphone - full metal body

I have both the GRIII & GRIIIx. I love the size and functionality of them and they can take wonderful images. Perfect travel cameras!
They’re fantastic little cameras! I always pack the GR IIIx in a small pouch to bring with just in case lol

great every day camera in the sense that every day I try and see if someone's got one in stock. I s2g Ricoh and Fuji make Leica look readily available

Swap out your PD links with the black ones. Sweeter look
