A classic tram with steel rails and wheels definitely makes more sense. The asphalt surface is less resistible, and the guided vehicle runs every time on the identical part of the surface. This leads to quick deterioration, and frequent repairs of potholes and damaged asphalt is needed. I saw the deteriorated asphalt surface in France, Caen, when the Tram on pneus worked there.
in order to run this type of "bus" you need smooth road surface (which means its not for north america, where u get potholes everywhere, and road closure year long)
Great utility for airport usage definitely. The advantage of this type is that it can stops inside city centers conveniently and passengers possibly might not have to take additional rides to final destination.

Well, the technology is based on the same principle as rear controlled long buses (I've been on a few of them in provincial UK). But you know how things are in Europe, especially with the EU - I can well imagine that so-called "health-and-safety" issues have arisen from such a development, where the articulated rear of any vehicle finds its own independant turning circle without the need for rails.
Doesn't make much sense. The biggest benefit of a train is that the steel wheels have almost no rolling resistance, resulting in very high efficiency. Instead of integrating thousands of sensors or track indicators in the street, you could have build rails that are lowered into the street so you can drive over them with cars at intersections. This way you have the amazing benefit of letting the train automatically following the right track without the necessity of any computation. 😅
If it has no tracks, then you can not truly call it a train lol. Also, without tracks I imagin it could indeed slip or spin out on less then favorable surfaces, just like a bus.
Except when the wind blows suddely from a side and runs it into the people walking on the sideway. Brilliant idea, like many others. So instead of using wheels to sustain the weight of the vehicle and passangers, let's suspend it in air to waste huge amounts of energy to compensate the gravity. Check the cost of an hour of flight on helicopter per kilogram and kilometer and apply it to the weight of a bus with passagers😁 Let's see how much a ticket would cost,so we can have a good laugh.
And they all clapped and said “China number one” and also smiled quite a lot because everybody was so impressed by china and how bad every other country is and bowed their heads in pure astonishment and they were not at all unhappy because of the other things they don’t dare say because china is so very number or else one as they were told clapping and smiling for china is more healthy and also happy making than not smiling and clapping for china number one and everybody said it and looked so impressed. Wow, amazing china, ok?
Take a breath bro. Chinese does not really care what others think. They are just trying to build stuff for their own people to live better life. I suggest you do the same.

This is a bus lmao - will tear up the road too, as it goes over the same part of the road again and again
It's a Guided Bus not a trackless Tramway.
A trackless train is called a bus.
It's a bus, but identifies as a train 😅
Can't wait to see them invent the underground tramway or the gasoline powered bicycle

That ART with six axles have -25% less weight (max 9 tons) on the driven axle then biarticulated bus with four axles. That is good for asphalt.

No smooth roads in America ? I would like you to travel in India.😁
Yeah perfect roads in China huh?
I think, a standart tram would make more sense as its simpler and already known tech
This track less train bus must be introduced in Goa n India

Ee have them in Europe, they are called articulated busses 😄😄
A short bus not a tram with 3 and more sections.
இது எல்லாம் பார்த்து ரசிக்க முடியும். கனவில் கூட இங்கு நடக்காது. ஊழல் நாடு முழுவதும்
Like a hybrid of tram and multi section bus.
Excellent Explanation Thank you so much. 🙏
At the end, it‘s actually a bus 🚎 🤷🏻♂️
They already have lines using these trackless trams in Australia with one being in Brisbane while I believe the other one is in Perth or Adelaide.
China is living in the future. Science fiction becomes true in China. ALL RESPECT ❤❤❤
Very beautiful and nice bus train in China
Don't be fooled people! 😂 This is literally just a bi-articulated bus. Which could be anywhere, especially in Europe.
Admit it China technology is more advanced than your idol us bullshit county m
Amazing what 5G, computer chips, and Beidou positioning can create
remember Wuawei ,amazing and that's what the U S is against like the Metric System
I had informed that this were one of the projects.
That's how good the innovation is. 👏👍☺️😊
Fun fact we had this in Nepal 12 years ago it was later removed it used to called trolley bus
Disel buses with 2 boxes in line were used some 25 years back in pune. But some how replaced by BRT and now by metro.
Currently trial running in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
Very nice video
Austrians know such Vehicles since may years. Called „O-bus“.
It's an articulated bus
Amazing !! China is doing so much good for the world, a blessing from God to all nations !!!
US going to claim this is their technology, China stole it and therefore put sanctions on all bus on China manufacturers. 😂😂😂😂
But the US would never claim that they stole the country where they're living and the American genocide of the Natives.
China do have a history of stealing intellectual property and technology. Why would this system be any different?
And they will say this train is threat to the peace of the world.
WOW 😊😊😊😊😊😊
It's an electric bus. A longer bus that will need pretty much straight roads and it's own lane.🙄

How does it go on hills, uneven surfaces, or speed bumps? Oretty cool idea
Self-driving technology applied at scale!
This train will never come to America. If it does, homeless people will make their home in it after vandalizing it and forcing it to stand still.

So basically a articulated city bus
Needs a few bus lines in Bangkok, Thailand to reduce the passenger load.

it seems that the cost data has some error, how can it be that the km costs 180Myuans, about 25M$ / km that is very expensive.
