If you time the meaty correctly (i.e., if the hitbox is active the moment their character comes on screen), I should be impossible to be thrown. You may be thrown if you mistime it though (if the j.M's active frames either haven't started yet or are finished when they appear on screen, they could mash throw and potentially catch you).

how do you cancel the footdive into j.L, me no get
It's not a cancel- the footdive just has enough hitstun/blockstun to link into j.L.
madmrbacon are you hitting the ground first and jumping or is that just after that pushback from the footdive?
oidokun Just the pushback from the footdive. You don't hit the ground until the j.M, footdive, j.L sequence is over.
