I think what makes Splattercat so attractive as a gamer is his laid back play style, he doesn't try to be maximum efficient and just goes along with his mistakes. Really entertaining to see. Much love and have a great Christmas!

I like this game and this video. One note - the word "tactile" means something to do with touch, whereas the numbers by the resources are visual and not tactile.
I assume he means to use the word “tactile” because when playing games you build a muscle memory for the UI and the more “tactile” the UI the easier it is for someone experienced in playing games is to subconsciously know were certain elements are without searching with their eyes.
It’s hard to explain unless you play videogames avidly, but you really do get almost a “tactile” sense for a game and it’s ui like your touching something directly.

I don't get how building stuff on the flying city uses up lift. You had the weight of the materials stored on the ship but its weight is only detrimental to the lift when you build something with it?

Strange - in the introduction art, the sky architecture reminded me arabic ones, especially considering the writings. But when it comes to in game models for central structure - It feels more slavic.
I wonder if it's in purpose with the idea that a flying kingdom would be able to pick up architectural inspirations from all the cultures they could interact with
It may be inspired by Byzantine architecture, a lot of what we perceive as "slavic" or "eastern" architecture in general have byzantian origins since both slavs and turks were greatly influenced by them.
@@d0navan440 I'm wary of getting games there, no due to a fan-boiisms but because the Epic Launcher was bugging out and I had to uninstall it. Doing so causes it to automatically uninstall all the games you bought as well, even though they're in different drives... Metro Exodus took forever to download and then it was gone in a split second
@@Fjottle Because they buy exclusive rights to PC games to try and force people onto their platform because they knew most people would not willing use their service. Without them using fortnite money to buy exclusive rights their platform would have already disappeared. Any game that started out as an Epic exclusive will never find it's way onto my PC not even when it is in the "dollar bargain bin".

Damn I have a weakness for those nomad city builders. I just don't like it if the "nomad" part is just an added layer (for example navigation exclusively via worldmap). This game seems to fix this issue.

I like the concept but damn it could be so much better. let me explain, why would they make you have to go to land to collect water when THERE'S CLOUDS AND YOU'RE ON A FLYING CITY!! Such a missed oportunity to be creative. Another thing that immediately popped into my head would be to introduce different aerial resources, imaginary maybe (vespin gas) and have you trade them with landwellers for food and other scarce airborne resources. I'm also not seeing any energy resource, when this would be the perfect game to use eolic energy.

Well, I was looking through the FAQ section on their Discord. Steam-Version is not gonna happening as it seems, since Epic, the fuckers, are paying them to make the game, i.e. acting as their publisher, and you can bet that they not going to sign off on a Steam release.

Gameplay wise, reminds me of Flotsam or Buoyancy, drifting from resource to resource to expand ones makeshift island and keep the people fed.

Yeah, EGS can really just piss off in my book, won't even go there for free games, as free is sometimes a too high of a price.
