You know on all weisco pistons any cylinder head that has a bridge wall through the exhaust port and to keep the piston from melting to the rings you will need to look up where and what size holes will need too....i be drilled under the exhaust bridge usually 4 dogfood holes lined up with the bridge
Just keep in mind that if you have water in your engine in freezing temps, it can crack your engine block and/or radiator after it freezes and expands. That's why coolant is called "antifreeze" it can get to lower temps without freezing. Also Im not sure if undistilled water will rust your engine but if so you definitely don't want that
Yea this was just temporary I’ve already put coolant in it because I recorded the first ride video on it today. I’m sure if you leave water in for too long it may cause damage but if it’s in there for a week or less it won’t do any harm
If it's warm where you live all the time you can put water in your dirt bikes radiator, cars radiator and so on. If you live where it's cold 6 months out of the year you gotta run antifreeze.
@@DJsGarage Yeah it absolutely won’t be harmed at all, just long term. Coolant contains anti corrosion additives:) Considering buying a kx project myself..
@DJ's Garage I have a question I have the same bike and the same year it rides really good but when I first start it it idles really high Intel I ride it for a wail then it goes back to normal. Do you know why?
Clean out your carburetor and check your reeds I had a kx250 that did that ended up being the floats sticking a little bit and draining gas into my cylinder
new sub. good job. did you have to dril a bridge in the piston? i think the instructions on the wiseco reccomend it. also, please measure the compression with a tester. I want to see how it comares to mine. Thanks!
Dude I have a kx100 and for long term use you should use coolant for the best preformance of your engine and it won’t damage it and also coolant is half water but water is fine temporarily but don’t do it forever sick build
Namuras are garbage pistons, unstable metal compounds. Wiseco is the best forged piston and pro x is the best cast piston. To keep that motor running strong for ever run Klotz R-50. It has film strength of a castor oil but isn’t one and it burns super clean. I highly recommend it in every 2 stroke.
water is gonna corrode your cases and your "coolant" ports on your cylinder over time, coolant has anti corrosion properties. but for tests who cares just long term
I just picked one of these up, nice seeing how simple the top end was to rebuild. These little things are a blast!
Quality content man!
Thanks
"This thing is mint. Not even cappin." 🤣💯
Great job on the rebuild..
U will blow up sorry I was sleeping when you posted
Bro you gotta ride it to break it in properly the motor has to be under a load to break it in properly
Nice bike's keep up the Good work
Awesome vid and edits and filming and bikes

Nice. If you have a bike we should go ride sometime
@@DJsGarage Yeah man. I just fixed up my dad's Honda CRF230f recently. I had a Honda 80cc until then and I outgrew that years ago haha

I’m thinking of getting a 2020 for 3900 with 40 hrs. Is that a fair price. It looks mint
Love the video! Good job
The reason you should use coolant is to prevent rust inside your engine and radiator. Great video, thumbs up:)
Yea. Long term. But running water for 2-3 hours isn’t gonna rust.
@@DJsGarage Yeah it absolutely won’t be harmed at all, just long term. Coolant contains anti corrosion additives:) Considering buying a kx project myself..
Coolant has a higher boiling point and has better heat tranfer characteristics. Great vid Though bud! Just subbed
Where did u get the used cylinder from ?
Cool video
Where did you get the cylinder
Get er done!!
What mm piston did you use?
Where do you get tires for 10 dollars?

It could be what he said, or your 2 stroke oil could be too thick. I run Amsoil intercepter for trail riding
@@benselby6171 what oil mixture do you use ?
Avery Brown i always use 32-1

Kick ass video man. Hey what year is that? I picked up a 2000 the other day and the seat you have on there is the one I want to put on it.

Yea. I had water in for about a day today’s and it was replaced with coolant
i feel like 150r's are constantly blowing too ends
Do you not have the other side panel
the antifreeze is what makes the water not freeze
Nice video
Who do you go to for crank work ?
Hey man I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I was wondering where can you get good and used dirt bikes?
