I've always felt there's a real spark to a steam locomotive. A life to it, if you will. I certainly don't object to being shuttled around the UK by the trains we have today, but there's an undeniable magic to the good old fashioned steam engines.
Why do the firemen use a cloth to clean the dirt & coal from the rngine? Wouldn't a good steam cleaner do it as well, if not better in a fraction of the time?,
