- Everytime I hear this song since reading MDZS I think of it as a Sizhui song. I love my son so much.
I'm also a big fan of the Wen remnants - when the second siege gets animated I am going to lose my mind crying.
I'll probably take a break from drawing for a little to work on some other projects - but I do know what animatic I want to work on next.

I forgot about the fact that Wei Ying resurrected the Wens for a short bit when he protected the juniors and other clans in Burial Mounds. And now i was reminded and oh my god, that's right! He got to see his granny again and all his uncles T_T
I'm not sure he intended to - I always read it more that it was the wens themselves that were the driving force behind it. that they wanted to protect wei ying, wen ning, and a-yuan that much.

basically every moment of this is incredible, but like. the lanterns... The LANTERNS
the lantern scene gets me everytime - I just love the burial mounds family so much. and the lanterns going out when wq and wn leave made me sad to draw.
This is so beautiful. Scene with bloody corpses make my cry... poor Shizu he came through so much😭I'm glad he finally remember everything and had happy ending with his dads and friends.

Oh god, this was so beautiful and hurt so much. I don't know if it's the nostalgia surrounding the song from my own childhood, or the message in the song, or the song coupled with these characters or even all three, but it's like a swift punch to the gut while also getting the heart ripped out.
This animatic was beautiful, and even after rewatching it a couple times, I still keep tearing up.

a-yuan had a tragic story too but he grew up with so much love and sacrifice for him. He's so lucky to have wei ying who made sure they stayed safe and after he couldn't do it anymore, lan zhan made sure to raise him, the only one left, well and safe in the cloud recesses. And everytime I cry over the fact...*sob, sob sob*

Oh gods, it made me cry. It's so beautifully done and the song fits so well! The Wens always give me feels but this is just next level. The lanterns slowly dying after each other? WWX leaving to fight the last battle for the Wens? The Wens rising to protect him and Sizhui so many years after their death? Ahhhhh, thank you so much for it!!
despite it being a short arc, I really loved seeing WWX with the Wens - the bond they ended up forming was so much and the second siege was one of the few times I cried while reading. I had to find a way to include it.
It's always the animatics on A-Yuan that fills my heart with so much FEELS!

i am sad that the part where the wen's bloody corpses didnt appear in the drama but seeing it here gave me PAIN and when they turned to ashes im just flowing out my tear
thanks for watching! I guess with how they changed things around it made sense for that scene not to happen, but oh man it would have wrecked me to see. I think that's one of the scenes that actually made me the most upset, they deserved a lot better.

The emotional roller coaster I went through when I saw all the Wen fam rising from the lake just to protect a-yuan.. THAT BROKE ME TO PIECES 😭💔💔💔 and the way granny looked at a-yuan before they all disappeared again 😢 I'm glad you animated that scene tho! I haven't scene any other animatic showing that scene from the novel so I was so surprised when I say it!
thanks for watching! that is legitimately one of the scenes that hit me the hardest in the novel, and for sure the one that got the most tears out of me in the audio drama so I had to include it for sure.
The part where the grandma leaves him under the tree and Lan Zhan carries him away to safety made me break down. I need tissues. This was beautiful.

Thank you so much for this wonderful video. By the way I read the MDZS novel. LAn zhan, Wei ying and Lan sizhui are nigh hunting together as a family. Wei Ying asked LAn sizhui if he still "Virgin" and Sizhui is very shy but he said "He is virgin" 🤣🤣 It is in chapter 120- 122 i think. I just shared because Wei ying is teasing his son. When Wei Ying and Lan zhan doing their "Everyday means Everday" LAn sizhui is outside with the Apple the donkey. 🤣🤣 That chapter is really funny!
