You know, I can't state this enough, but thank you for posting all your vods to TH-cam. This has become my TV, what I relax to and never feel so alone thanks to the chill vibes and wacky shenanigans. My 4am gaming sessions have been great.
I didn't even realize it when I played it the first time but the Loan Shark's VO in the intro is Michael Reeves! He's even listed as part of the cast on the imdb page.
Using the shell to block is easy to underestimate because it has durability, but I went full Resistance build from the start and don't regret it. When you get the parry, you can play it just like a DS1 shield to take any blow and even work out parry timings with how little damage you take. I found out parrying the Duchess' cage throw causes her to hurt herself as it gets whipped back to her. I'm sure other bosses also have clever rewards for nailing the parry timing too.
Has anyone ever really figured out the origin/meaning of ‘it is time for crab’? By now, Dan Jones’ love for the meme has made it a reference for me all on its own, but was it just some random thing he embraced or some random thing that popped up in dark souls memes that community embraced, or I don’t know a SpongeBob reference?
according to a quick googling, "The origin of this meme is from Dark Souls III, in which the message writing mechanic restricts communication across player worlds to certain phrases. The same mechanic is shared by Elden Ring, where the meme has been further propagated." I assume it was originally discovered as a warning for a crablike enemy, and someone saw it and thought it was funny and it sort of took off. We'll never know who originally wrote it.
I've been waiting fivever for crab game Idr if it was Barry's highlights or wheremst I first saw the... "dev mode" item. Haven't started the vid yet so idk of he does it in this stream (vod) either

The journalist pit joke gave me a really good laugh. Thank you.
Between this and those crab fighting games, it seems even video games aren't immune to carcenization.
Okay this got me good.
It's fun that Kril can cosplay as a *pistol* shrimp
Dang. That thumbnail sure is a reference to "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"
I'm old AF
I'm glad someone got the reference.
I thought it was a reference to the ending theme of Sam and Max Save the World. "It's a Max Max Max Max Max world"

THERE IS AN IDLE ANIMATION YOU JUST HAVE TO SIT THERE FOR A WHILE
''oh this looks like a fun game'' Barry: sus sauce or extra sus sauce. Nevermind the internet was a mistake
Man, I got the Switch version of this game and seeing how good it looks here really makes me wish I hadn't done that
This is one of the Barryest games I've seen in a while.
man, watching Barry play this is better than watching aquaman 2

Yeah, there's one particular spot in DS3 where you first see giant crab enemies, and I always see messages there saying "Time for crab."
I can't wait to see more crab game 🥺
