You know if your quick enough and have decent eye sight you can see and dodge a incoming paintball or two. Kinda makes you feel cool for a few minutes till you get cocky with it and get rushed or someone throws a amazon airsoft nade

The game has changed so much, many moons ago we were using pump guns with 2 co2 cartridges and stick magazines of about 15 shots. It was more running around the woods, hiding, and making well aimed shots. We were wiped by the end of the day, lots of fun.
Where I play paintball this isn’t allowed! The debris and dirt from the bullet that was on the ground could seriously mess with the guns. If it didn’t touch the ground it was fine but we absolutely couldn’t pick the bullets up from the ground 😭

In airsoft we have speed loaders for pistol and mid/low cap magazine. For high cap we use a fabric pouch with a small mouth to pour the bbs into the magazine.
What I learned from Paintball as someone who doesn't play Paintball: -Sprinting as soon as the match starts -Cover and peak for the next 90% of the match - shoot (a lot) -reload (badly, like a pro would do) -Shoot (A LOT) -be a bad loser and a bad winner
In airsoft it is similar. But there it is also a lot about gaining ground and power positions, like buildings in the middle of a field or hills etc. And then peak, wait, shoot, move, repeat.
There are different positions in paintball, most videos you see are the guys in the back dumping paint down range for cover, the guys up front are much more exciting to watch

Hey, to clear this up, im assuming pro paintballers arent very careful on preserving and saving ammo whilst playing is because if your covering an area with fire to prevent enemys from gaining ground and u stop shooting too reload they have a chance too move up. Correct me if im wrong
The trigger is a "rocker". It pivots on a center axis so you use both fingers to push the top and bottom of it back and forth, it shoots when either end is pressed in. So by rocking it back and forth it shoots very fast as it's essentially like having 2 triggers combined into 1.
His gun is on a ramp setting. The first 3 or 4 shots are semi, and then after that as long as he keeps pulling the trigger it will shoot a steady 9 balls per second. At least that’s what the regs were when I played, the max bps used to change all the time so it could be more it could be less.

That was like a gimmic back in the 2000s usually its just a really light double finger trigger tht reacts electricly every time it hits the connection so both finger taps create a shot. Likely this is on ramp setting meaning he has to run the trigger for a bit then he can tap it in rhythm to get bursts

My dad used to play paintball on base. I always wanted to do it till one day he went out to the field and got hit by a stray shot, the place he got shot was so bruised i decided watching was more fun for me as a kid. Now that im older id be down tho
Only problem with limited bullets is tactics that try to force the opponent to waste bullets…I would prefer victories because shots hit their mark over lack of bullet management. Perhaps it could work in a different format.

Markers will generally have a calibrated fire rate, and lots of competitions have maximum shots-per-second. So the gun controls the rhythm since it's against the rules to fire faster than a certain rate.
Its probably set to 10.2 balls per second since that is the rate limit for NXL. Probably set to NXL mode on his marker so once he pushes out 3-5 balls the marker automatically ramps up to at 10.2 balls per second and as long as he keeps on that trigger it will fire at that rate.
Suppressive fire lol, he’s keeping the enemy team pinned behind cover so that his teammates could further advance in a position without getting shot. This is also a tactic used by actual soldiers when they fought in ww.
Fun fact: There was a brief stint where lower tier leagues in Canada ran semi uncapped while the CXBL was running 13.3 ramp; you'd see folks in the lower leagues pushing 15-18 a sec in semi with good trigger practice. (It's now capped as well.)

My dad used to play paintball on base. I always wanted to do it till one day he went out to the field and got hit by a stray shot, the place he got shot was so bruised i decided watching was more fun for me as a kid.

Instead of unlimited bullets they should come up with a limited 150-160 bullet idea. Each reload must be around 30-40 bullets.

Only problem with limited bullets is tactics that try to force the opponent to waste bullets…I would prefer victories because shots hit their mark over lack of bullet management.
Perhaps it could work in a different format.

Markers will generally have a calibrated fire rate, and lots of competitions have maximum shots-per-second. So the gun controls the rhythm since it's against the rules to fire faster than a certain rate.

Its probably set to 10.2 balls per second since that is the rate limit for NXL. Probably set to NXL mode on his marker so once he pushes out 3-5 balls the marker automatically ramps up to at 10.2 balls per second and as long as he keeps on that trigger it will fire at that rate.
He's one of the better ones, and I'm not talking about the reloading💀

Suppressive fire lol, he’s keeping the enemy team pinned behind cover so that his teammates could further advance in a position without getting shot. This is also a tactic used by actual soldiers when they fought in ww.

Fun fact: There was a brief stint where lower tier leagues in Canada ran semi uncapped while the CXBL was running 13.3 ramp; you'd see folks in the lower leagues pushing 15-18 a sec in semi with good trigger practice. (It's now capped as well.)

You cant do that, if a stone or dirt sticks ti the ball and you shoot it it can destroy a protective glass and hurt people
