As someone who's super new to starting their squish collection i FEEL the impulsiveness lol, I'm trying to reign myself in a lil and make sure I'm getting guys I like. It helps that i dont have much space for them so it helps me get extra picky with them.

So, I recently spent $112.17 (£87.85 in British currency, though one day wish to type own currency as €🇪🇺) on an 11 inch Neha the Dodo from the US to the UK. Naturally she was way overpriced with huge shipping costs but I needed her. The only places selling her were only offering US internal shipping, so I had to use one of those companies that provide an US postal address and then ship onto you overseas. But, Neha runs the Leo fan club, and as a Leo myself I had to show Neha how much she is valued for all her sterling efforts, so she is worth every penny/cent.🥰🐧

I think a couple years ago, Malcolm was so sought after because he was the only mushroom squishmallow. Now, there are more mushrooms so I feel like the hype for Malcolm has died down.

I think a reason the resell prices dropped, weren't just people falling out of love with squishmellows, but rather people outside the US got more choice. I remember when I started collecting squish (in the UK) our selection was tiny and the seasonal ones were very rare. So people would turn to US markets, which then inflated the US value. Now we can get a lot of the squish in our own countries, we don't turn to the US market as often. But US people did it to us as well, I remember people begging us to get them 12inch otto the first time he was released. Just the increase in options across the world has killed part of the resell market.

I just started collecting squishmallows, but I collect other things so I've been able to quickly figure out prices and what's a good deal and what's not. I play/collect Magic the Gathering, Tamagotchis, and anime figures so I made my mistakes a long time ago. My biggest tip to new collectors is if you see something you want, look around and price compare on several websites if you plan to buy second hand. Prices tend to be similar across places like Ebay and Mercari and you can pick out the bad deals fast.

i have sold many squishmallows in my day. $12 shipping is pretty standard for a 12 inch. when i would weigh my trades it'd be about 10-11 dollars with USPS of course. and mercari only lets you put a rough estimate on the package. so i don't think $12 dollar shipping for a 12 in off mercari is that embarassing.

I love hunting and finding squishmallows so much fun,but it doesn’t take long for your purchases to turn into a small hill! I was impulsive at first but now I’m more selective to Bigfoots and cows. It’s great to see a fully stocked selection in a store though. I keep two of the ones I regret buying as a reminder to not jump at the first squish I see,it helps.

Impulsive purchases and the hyped up popular squish made me do some things I regret 🥲 I think I'm getting better with being less influenced by the popular squish. Most of the times, they're the ones I want, but I can tell better now than before if I like a squish because it's hyped up or because I truly like it. However, my anxiety and FOMO are really bad and I'll buy squish because they're the last ones and I feel bad for them, or I didn't get the ones I wanted more or because they are not easily available online so I will tolerate atrocious prices 😂 Regrets are part of collecting, but reading the comments about how people also deal with this makes me feel better and less alone!
