Roc Marciano presents the instrumentals for his legendary debut album, Marcberg (Released in 2010). Marcberg would go on to influence the current regeneration rap with real bars and beats composed on soulful samples with boom-bap drums or drumless loops. Marcberg and Roc’s later work would provide inspiration for Griselda, The Alchemist, and many, many more.
Released on black vinyl, the instrumentals didn’t drop until 2013. This is recorded from that vinyl (www.discogs.com/release/45721....

This album is the begining of this new wave of boom bap. For me Roc Marciano & Willie the kid are the best lyriciste right now , and they the one that bringed back that flavor. I just hope one day they offer us a collab album. That would be just insanely insane.
