Regarding the three recording methods, I found them all comparable without any notable differences.
    Thanks for the demo!

Yeah the very very slight differences I noticed could totally just be in my head. Ultimately I think it just comes down to what works best for your setup.

Cool video. I picked one of these up a few months ago. I plugged one in on a whim and ended up leaving the store with it. Great sounding and versatile little device!

I’m definitely glad I grabbed one. I have been very pleasantly surprised!

Have been thinking about picking one up. Anderton's did a head to head between this, the ToneX and the Boss and largely preferred the Pod Express. Each has pros and cons, but based purely on sound it held its own.

I think for the price, especially with the built-in HX quality effects, this thing is great. Not perfect, but definitely worth the price.

With the editor app the Pod Express is 100% better. You are able to tweak all settings visually on screen and access additional options.

The editor was a huge grade for the Express. I love that it works on my phone or iPad as well.

Don't believe the hype, the Pod Express sounds nasty, cold, raspy, thin, fizzy. I tried for 2 weeks to get some decent sounds out of it, not possible.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to get good sounds out of it, but I do largely agree with you after having had it for a few weeks now. I have several presets where I’ve completely turned the amp+cab off and I’m just using the mod/delay/reverb. I think if they allowed you to load your own airs it’d be much better. I’ve done that a couple of times with an IR loader in my DAW and while it’s still not amazing it’s much better. BUUUT for $180 I don’t think it’s a bad buy. Even if you only use the effects.
