how do the thin wide 24s feel? thinking about a new guitar and cant decide between going j custom, prs custom 24 or les paul 59 reissue :( the les paul is just a personal love of mine and isnt really a concern unless i see a really lovely one in the shop when i go shopping :S
@RobChappers thanks:) Are you THE guy who does the fantastic PRS demos? It always make me smile when the shop owner finishes the intro and passes it over to you. the intergalactic supra orbital master of legato blaster:) I have a Strat relic 65,Les Paul VOS, SMY2 Steve Morse, a 22 custom PRS ten top and Nik Huber Orca I am looking for a second PRS. Which model would you recommend? (something really special) What do yo think of Nik huber (I changed and put Pearly Gates and Seth lover) cheers!
Chappers, don't take it as a criticism but....it was nice to hear more tone than fuzz.A great demonstration of what sounds a great guitar. Romantic warrior by return to forever put me on to Al DiMeola, years ago. Long may you run sir cheers, regards and lotsa rspect.
what a beautiful guitar. I think that chappers like prs over esp or any other company because every time i see him playing one he seems like hes enjoying them allot more
Hi Rob, Do you know of any guitar shops that have ESP guitars in this number? My playing is more suited to the ESP/EMG style. I really appreciate the woods and craftsmanship in the PRS and im sure its something I will grow into in later life. Great video's, please keep making the, and looking forward to seeing the signature ML1 soon. Matt.
Hi Matt, they actually have a number of ESP guitars at World Guitars but mostly high end ones... I did see the new EC-1000FR there and it looks badass ;-)
Hello Rob...may I enquire where you shop is exactly and what the closest airport connection is as I am interested in coming and checking out your great sho. I am a guitar collectionner from Switzerland. Have you ever had any Nik Huber instruments and if so what is your take on them? Thanks and look forwards to meeting you soon. You had a turquoise blue PRS in stock that I would be very interested to buy!!!
2:53 - jaw drop moment ... tone :| 3:41 - my thought: "It's a good thing Eric Clapton didn't have one of these in the 60s, or no one would buy anything else!" 4:51 - If nothing else, I want that volume pot! :D Great vid:)
Very cool man. Not that their is anything wrong with ESP. Those guys make amazing guitars in any price range... But hell, there are alot of great guitars out there. It would be a shame to only play the guitars made by only one company.
I've been playing guitar for 18 years and never had any interest in PRS. After seeing this bloke play, I'm 2 months way from owning my own Al Di Meola. Excellent playing, the amp isn't so bad either..hahaha
Gorgeous guitar. It's one of those sad realizations though, that no matter who you are, you'll never play this guitar as well as the guy whose name is on the head.
@AaronBellDeo no theres this this switch that i remember one company used to make ther pickup go from active to passive pickup and then id somehow get a sustainer pickup thatwould work with the switch and just make it a 3 way toggle
@turockandar Hi mate, the store is based in Stonehouse, Gloucester - not sure where the nearest airport is, fly in to London and make a weekend of it ;-)
I like the vibrant colours but the pattern is unimaginative because the colours have been applied in horizontal bands .A more creative application would be a big improvement .
I was wrong but right, I distinctly remember musiciansfriend having one up for 10 grand, but it possibly was some first run limited. Regardless, the new price is still ridiculous.
That's got to be one of the most beautiful guitars ever made.
The clean sound on that matchless is totally sick
Oh my God that's beautiful! The TONE!
"will they open their eyes, and realise we are one"..great song...unbelievable guitar, sounds ace!!great review Rob:)
that guitar sound very open and dynamic, very nice
Glad to see your not stuck with ESP any more. You and PRS make some crazy nice tone
even though it was like 7 years ago I can't believe I missed Rob, I live about 5 minutes away !
you guys, have the best work in the world...
everything sounds good in a matchless
some awesome Alter Bridge on a beautiful PRS guitar.

Awesome as always
I think you guys just earned a new customer.
What was the name of those prs 1959 vintage Gibson factory wire pickups? Want to look for a set

Hey - that's Jeff Pumfrett! He used to run my local shop (machinehead) for many years - long time no see. A bit of a character!!
It's in Gloucester UK mate - best guitar store on earth ;-)
That is "Bleed the Light" by Rob Chapman from his EP "Red Dream" which is on iTunes ;-)

Hi Matt, they actually have a number of ESP guitars at World Guitars but mostly high end ones... I did see the new EC-1000FR there and it looks badass ;-)
Yeah mate he is the best, I buy my guitars from him, enough said ;-)
Have you tested a James Collins GT yet , if not you can try mine...... Number 6
That wet dream looks like a music shop.
Great video as always!
But now you've put that Matchless amp on my list of possible amps, there are too many to choose!
You seem to have false information, this guitar is NOT 10,000 it is GBP £3,399 which is USA $5,589.

That guitar is absolutely gorgeous!! PRS doesn't really suit me, but man those are terrific. I wish you guys would do a review on some Fender guitars!
i heard some alter bridgeyness in there rob, awesome!
I have this guitar. It's truly amazing
@musicalmahem i think its beautiful!! everything prs makes is beautiful
Glorious tone, I agree it beats ESP every time. £3500, is a little high, the couple I've seen for sale are about £3200.
Love the part at the end when he's playing chords and turning the volume from min to max...
wow very nice and raspy sounding pickups
2:53 - jaw drop moment
... tone :|
3:41 - my thought: "It's a good thing Eric Clapton didn't have one of these in the 60s, or no one would buy anything else!"
4:51 - If nothing else, I want that volume pot! :D
Great vid:)
Love the guitar, and you even played some Alter Bridge there if I'm not mistaken. Can't go wrong xD
Both will work ;-)
Now, if only buying this guitar would give you the ability to play like Mr Di Meola.
Beautiful PRS guitar and wouldn't mind getting one..my bank account say no way Jose...
I was expecting "Race to the Devil" but thats a bloomin nice guitar :)
WOOT! AUSTRALIA
Very cool man. Not that their is anything wrong with ESP. Those guys make amazing guitars in any price range...
But hell, there are alot of great guitars out there. It would be a shame to only play the guitars made by only one company.
Hey Rob, any chance you could go to a shop that have more affordable guitars?
why arent there any music stores like that in thailand, and do u hav a website?
thats my dream guitar
I agree with Rory, and also try Phrygian ;-)
I've been playing guitar for 18 years and never had any interest in PRS. After seeing this bloke play, I'm 2 months way from owning my own Al Di Meola. Excellent playing, the amp isn't so bad either..hahaha
Officially added to my shopping list. XD
Sorted!! Well spotted dude ;-)
Rob + PRS = WIN
;)
I need that amp in my life!!! :0
That guitar looks tasty.
Just a heads up the website for world guitars is actually World-Guitars, not just WorldGuitars
The finish reminds me of those fruit pastel ice lolly's you can buy!
TASTY
"Glorious." Okay.
i really need to try out some matchless amps soon! stunning guitar
@pmanderson
Emil Werstler or whatever ( the guy from Daath) uses PRS guitars. I think it's a Hollowbody II
I hate World Guitars, they are a constant threat to my bank balance! :-)
Can someone tell me please which band plays in this intro from 0:00 to 0:20?
hell yeah
I know...
Ok I admit it, we all make mistakes and leaving PRS was mine. But I'm free to play them again now ;-)
i want it. i have a USA made PRS but this one is my dream one :D mine is santana yellow.
I believe the color is supposed to represent a sunset over the ocean
I left ESP month ago dude I can play anything now ;-)
Gorgeous guitar. It's one of those sad realizations though, that no matter who you are, you'll never play this guitar as well as the guy whose name is on the head.
@RobChappers
Didn't realise you guys were so close, Stroud's my home town, living in Chelts currently. I'll be popping in very soon I think.
2:10 - 2:25
was that a smooth version of Alter Bridge's "Open your eyes"? :)
Nice!
@fippysteed The song is called open your eyes by the best and most underrated band of all time......... ALTER BRIDGE!
Are you kidding? Sounds like you haven't looked at their site mate...
They also have hundreds of Epiphone and PRS SE guitars ;-)
@AaronBellDeo no theres this this switch that i remember one company used to make ther pickup go from active to passive pickup and then id somehow get a sustainer pickup thatwould work with the switch and just make it a 3 way toggle
whats a good guitar to buy under 1000 dollars?
Just Remember...IT'S NOT THE ARROW IT'S THE INDIAN!...
CHEERS.
where is this guitar store i must go there right now....amazin...
Thanks :)
Man, that amp is winking at me!
It's not the original wire, I've checked with PRS, but they reproduce it on the original machine.
Well they carry Larrivee, must be a good store
@turockandar Hi mate, the store is based in Stonehouse, Gloucester - not sure where the nearest airport is, fly in to London and make a weekend of it ;-)
Gloucester? What country is that? England is a strange place with their double named cities. Explain this, sir.
You need a custom 24 with a wide thin mate ;-)
how much is this guitar 8 grand??
if i had the money id so get that its awesome!
Alter Bridge are amazing ;)
@tman916x What you'd buy jeff?
can anybody share which guitar strings does he uses ?
sidhanth gupta I believe he uses NYXL 10-52's. They're pretty expensive though. Like $12 a pack.
I like the vibrant colours but the pattern is unimaginative because the colours have been applied in horizontal bands .A more creative application would be a big improvement .
@acdcyoyoer You cant have active and passive in the same humbucker. Sustainers are always active.
Clean Chappers; nice
I was wrong but right, I distinctly remember musiciansfriend having one up for 10 grand, but it possibly was some first run limited. Regardless, the new price is still ridiculous.
