Thank you to Sean and Sarah for such an enlightening conversation and sharing your truly terrifying experience.
Most of us would crumble and it's great to see your joy at being home with your remarkable wife Ha.
We pray for the people of Myanmar that they too will have their freedom returned.

I cant even begin to imagine the horrors that Professor Sean had to go through. It sounded like some stories that our grandparents would tell about a more brutal time that they had to struggle through, not something that is happening for real today in our generation.
But what is remarkable is that through it all he is still so positive and hopeful for the future of Burma. Like Charlie Chaplin said: "The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish…"
It is for people like Professor Sean, his wife Ha Vu, the countless people who were involved in this sorry episode and the brave people in Burma still fighting today that we can always believe and work towards a free and better tomorrow. Thank you, for giving us hope and inspiration!

If I were him, I would not forgive the military dictatorship for 650 days confinement. I can't imagine how he went through the trauma since he was arrested. Btw he's nice and humble gentleman who survived the ordeal, I give him my respect.

Dear Sean...we Burmese people really really appreciate you and always keep in mind for all goodness you'd done for our nation and people. At the same time, as our Democratic Leader and State Counselor H.E Aung San Suu Kyi said, we do apologize you and your family for involving you in Burma's absurd affairs.

    Gosh what an adventure
    Not chosen .
Great story about Myanmar's Political battlefield
    In addition constantly hearing rumours
Within a grapevine not knowing if its a rumour or something likely to happen .
    Glad you got home.
