      ⁶ Very informative
      I've always used Vinegar or Bakin Soda to clean fruits Veggies
      It's important to dry thoroughly to prevent WHT mold from form due to wet fruits, vegs I use a salad spinner. To help remove moisture however paper towel works fine just be gentle & let air dry a bit wash container they came in since it has air holes or baggie w/few holes

    How to clean:
    1) pre wash the fruits & veggies
    2) mix vinegar & water (1 liter of water & 2 to 3 bottle caps of vinegar)
    3) soak the fruits in the water for 5 minutes
    4) rinse well
    5) dry & store

      Yes - it's a concern. See if you have a local strawberry farm that doesn't spray, and buy from them! They're tastier, too!! OR, plant some of your own.

      @@OswaldDigestiveClinic indeed! I got some weeks ago my first strawberry plant ☘️
      Usually here in Finland they grow strawberries and sell them around first weeks of summer but it's soooo popular you can barely get them at the market, I usually buy a box from the nearest farm. They're the safest to consume. On winter though, is where I also buy berries and have to wash them and boil them properly since they're imported.

    Unfortunately, many pesticides are sprayed early on in the growing of produce, and thus they can't be washed off. Buying local from a trusted farmer or growing our own is ideal.

    Hi, Beautiful Family I am enjoying your shopping trip she has some very nice things and you have great taste . You can use those called Stainless steel bowls for mixing small amounts sorting your vegetables are why ever you want they will last a very long time I have some for years Stainless steel is a plus that stainless steel big pot great. The black is called muffin pan . If I was there we would go there and oh wild we would need small truck I us to have a thrift shop inside my Hair Salon years ago my Daughter and I would go all over and go thrifting I love ❤️ it .Those two Thermos bottles would be nice one for you and one for Peter he could take his cold water or hot tea and they stay hot or cold and you do like wise they keep the temperature they are a plus. I would go crazy their my husband say no no no more,😆 That round one on the pedestal is a cake plate . Make sure you look for lids for the Stainless steel pots . The sliver handle dipper is for gravy and you pour over food. I need that lamp you connect it to the house to the electrical when you turn the lights on at night. I would switch mind out . The fruit basket most people here just wash their fruit in the sink are colander and put the fruit on the counter in the big stainless steel container. Very nice trip❤❤

    • @bonanzatime
      @bonanzatime 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      You will get better results if you first use the vinegar to disinfect the bacteria, and then use the baking soda to remove the pesticides. Mixing the two together neutralizes the acidic disinfectant properties of the vinegar and the alkaline level necessary to release the pesticides from the fruit and vegetables. Mixing them is not a good idea, just like you don't want to mix bleach with ammonia, it won't clean better, it'll just blow you up.

If you go on the FDA website they list every food/product and tell you exactly what “critters”, amount of mold, etc is in them and the estimated amount. Everything from cookies, chips, cereal...Everything lol. You’ll be VERY surprised at what you see.

Me on the other hand have tested the theory out myself about 3 times and nothing has come out. However it has cleaned the fruits very well. We live in Las Vegas and we do have lots of bugs here so I was a little bit more paranoid then I should have been. But I tested it out and nothing has come out. Just very very clean fruits 😂

    Organic doesn't necessarily mean less pesticdes. A lot of the organic market regarding fruits & veggies is a marketing tactic to sell more. In having a brand claiming they use less pesticdes or pesticide free. Everyone should do independent research on each companies they are buying from. In the consumer making the best decisions for themselves and thier families. Just saying their is a lot of hype regarding the organic market

    • @OswaldDigestiveClinic
      @OswaldDigestiveClinic 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. Some farmers aren't getting the organic label because they feel it's doesn't do the quality of their produce justice. They're beyond organic! Best to find farmers are local markets who you trust to grow the best quality food possible

      @@ASimplySimpleLife quick question Miss after watching this video of rinsing your fruits and veggies that you can wash with both water and vinegar; what type of vinegar if not apple cider should I use if I bought my own fruits and veggies from grocery stores and trying to make sure they don't get fungus or other looking white sprouts thingies I don't know the name or word of what is it in English but in our language Hmong it is Tuaj Fwm (in English means fungus I believe), how long should I soaked it in and should I rewash it again or just one time is enough and it should lasts me like my older siblings has told me about it yet it's just new and I haven't known or be familiar with as clean it with just plain sink water so they are much more cleaner and well freshen after they were plucked hope you have the answers for me to those questions and that what and how necessary to keep them fresh within 1-2wks I heard

    The vinegar is used to disinfect the bacteria, it also removes the wax from apples, cucumbers, etc., it does nothing to remove pesticides. Use baking soda to remove the pesticides. Sweety :)

      Tap water in US may be extremely polluted or contaminated but here in Northern Europe/Scandinavia, we have very clean water. Granted no water in the world is perfectly clean, but ours is regularly checked for harmful contaminants etc. And we have no fracking! Our pollution levels are almost always below the minimum levels recommended by the scientists and world health organisations so it’s very safe to drink.
