Great tips bro! I just found your channel today and have already watched multiple videos lol. Appreciate all the information and good stories/commentary, also never been out to CA so its cool to see that area from the bike. Been saving up to get an RCR
Side view mirrors are def the way to go. I tried "normal" mirrors and could see anything lol. Thanks for the shout-out! Another tip for security is grabbing yourself a tracker like airtag and/or cell based tracker and hide it somewhere in/on the bike.
The tip you gave me about cleaning the disc brakes was huge for me thanks man. The bike used to squeak when I would go up and down my ramp but now it’s a smooth as butter. The AirTag is definitely the way to go.
I would just tape it down. The button is in a odd position. You can actually press it by accident and turn the bike off while you’re riding, it happened to me a couple of times.
Subscribed! My CTY2 should get here in 2 weeks! When you lock with the fob does it actually physically stop someone from rolling the bike away or is it just setting the alarm? Wondering if I should pick up a chain like you had in your other video.
The key fob Cut the power and set the alarm the bike can still be wheeled away or even picked up and loaded into a truck definitely get a kryptonite chain lock and if you can AirTags👍🏾
@@onyxtoons3073 alright thanks for the advice! Do you have an opinion on helmets? I want to protect my face but it gets hot here in San Diego and I also dont want to attract too much attention zooming around suspiciously fast in the bike lanes with a full motorcycle helmet on…
@@brendanmcgill5900 I’m excited for you. You finna get a serious bike trust me you’re gonna have a lot of fun just cruising. A full face helmet is the way to go though trust me it’s a powerful bike and you need to protect yourself just in case you take a spill. I suggest a TORC helmet the airflow is awesome no worries about the heat. The helmet won’t be the reason people look at you in the bike lane it will be the bike👍🏾
Yeah i would wipe my breaks off every time if i was touching them whatsoever with my dirty ass fingers too... 🤦🏼 You only need to clean your brakes like every 50 or 100 miles
I wired up turn signals myself and while it's annoying, it's not that bad at all. The plug inside the bike has two ports for electricity to flow from. One for left, and one for right. Take those out puts and wire them to blinker boxes (I forget what they're called rn, but you can easily find them on Amazon). From those blinker boxes they run to both the front and rear blinkers AND to the dash input so you can see that they're on. Make sure you wire ground too, and that's pretty much it. There's some videos on TH-cam and guides online that go into more depth, but be aware that if you're gonna do it right that it will take a few hours. Make sure you have a multimeter for detecting electricity. A lot of guides have ways of doing this completely solderingless too
You really should ask about John Angel he's been banned and removed from multiple communities across multiple States Texas New York La New Jersey he's a pretty horrible person that does some really horrible things she should be avoided at all costs he does not have direct connection to Onyx and is not an onyx representative he is intelligent and what he has to say about the Onyx bikes is definitely useful but please do not promote this man

Why does the power on button need to be taped? Couldn’t you just not use it? Thanks for your video

The button generates a small spark that will burn the inside overtime.
Hate when disc brake get Squeaky going to clean them tonight very informative video
Link to the side headlights?
I looked on Amazon and they don’t make those headlights anymore but you can still find some pretty good ones

You use pedals on cruising or city
I’ve heard of people hiding Apple Air tags on their bikes so they can use the “Find My” App to locate their bike if it’s stolen.
