Apparently a producer followed them off stage after this performance and said " HOLY S**T, I'm a Fan!!", and he had a hot mic so everyone heard it!! These girls can ROCK!!

The Warning is incredible live. The stage presence, the joy. They connect generations. You can't just hear them, you can feel them with your whole body. I was able to experience them live in Cologne. Münster and Freiburg are not sold out yet. Take your chance for a unique experience. There is also a meet & greet for both dates
Great reaction! This performance really expanded the army. I expect many of the “off the street“ audience members who had never heard of the band before are now serious Warning fans. So many great parts (Pau’s killer scream of destruction always gets me), but the harmonies are always amazing since their voices mesh so well but are all distinct. During “pain is the price to survive…” you can clearly hear Dani take the mid, Pau take the high and Ale take the low. Going to see them in Atlanta Sept ‘24, and I’m pumped!
This song sealed the deal for me (new recrute to the The Warning Army fan base).
And these young ladies stole my Metal heart, Especially Pau (Paulina the drummer).
Speaking of Pau:
Pau won the Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year award. The hosts said that she "dominated" the voting of "a hard category to win".
So yeah, I am a huge Pau fanboy !!!!!
There were not too many real fans in attendance because the network only gave a couple days notice that they were taping it and the band was not allowed to talk about it beforehand. They played 2 songs and were given up to three takes but the sisters nailed both songs in one take. They made new fans that night including the producers of this segment. One of them couldn’t stop saying “Holy shit!” after their performance. And they weren’t even nominated for anything. Shame on you MTV !!!!

Okay, you answered a huge question for me. When I went to Bing or Google the 2023 VMA's, The Warning hadn't even shown on the performers list. That had to been for the live performers...then, if they had shown this, The Warning would have been on the run for stealing the show. Thank you for your information!
Loving your reactions to these ladies man!! I feel the exact same way as you when I watch them! If you really want to get to know this band, a trip through time is highly recomended. I would start where the most of us did, with their 2014 cover of Enter Sandman ( at the ages of 9, 12, and 14) which brought them massive viewership, the attention of Metalica themselves, and really kick started their career. The next MUST SEE is their 2017 TedX show. Three songs and they give a little talk in between songs. Its crazy to see them at that age 12, 15, and 17, because they were already phenominal!!! Thanks for sharing brutha!!!

Not so sure how musical guest are picked for those shows. Is it pay for play or do they only book the most popular chart topping artists and bands? If Letterman were still around he'd probably book them cause he still really pushed rock acts both new and old.
Really?? The Warning is amazing but the average people listen to crap instead, TW just reached 1M monthly listeners in Spotify, pop and other "artists" may have 100Ms or more

To see them live try to get a ticket to *Melkweg, Amsterdam* on the 5th of August. Next show after that is in Belgium. If you are lucky you already have a ticket for *Wacken Open Air 2024* in July 31.

I am a financially poor 65 yr old and even though I am a massive fan, I never thought I would ever be able to see them live.. .. BUT, happy days, I have a ticket to see them in Rock City, Nottingham, England on 21st July. I could NOT believe that they aren't playing the biggest venues, and so bought a ticket as fast as my aging fingers could tap my details. WHOO HOO 🤸🤸♂🤸♀

This was a side stage performance done the Friday before the Tuesdays live awards event for which the ladies were invited to walk the red carpet and did amazing there too. The audience were mostly comprised of fans there to see the other two performers Kaliii and Renee Rapp and had never heard of The Warning. I’m sure they know who they are now. The performers were all given 3 takes to perform their 2 songs along with a 40 second version of each to be played at the live event. The ladies showed their professionalism by nailing it the first time; after all live is their super power. The Warning released a behind the scenes look at their trip to NY and this performance and the MTV staff were blown away. One of the producers forgot to turn off his mic and was heard saying “Holy $h*t! I’m a fan!”, talking to Dany while they were leaving the stage. Everyone notices Danys pick scrape going into the second chorus (and they should). What caught my attention was Paus double snare hit into a double crash and the look on her face.
Paus mic is gated very well. She often sings lead while playing the drums. I think is about opening her throat to belt the higher notes.
They know what they are doing and they know each other knows what they are doing and now they can just show off and have a great time.
Yes, another reactor recently observed on _23_ how dynamic the gating is, adjusted in real time to get the best out of her lead vocals but cut out the frequencies where the drums would be too loud at other times.
I saw three little girls from Mexico all those years ago and even though I knew they were good I just didn’t know what was coming. So awesome.
that guy in the audience released a youtube about this. in the first song. MORE, he was further back in the crowd but was so energetic the crew moved him up front as you see him. that nodding of Dany is probably the eye contact with that guy that he mentioned in his video. Oh! Gosh.. one of the best comment. When Pau scream of Death.. 'Laser beam come out of her mouth' (kinna like) That's the best react and sentence I've known so far. this was such a huge and powerful exhibition they gave with the short time they were given... they performed two songs, *More* (done first) and this one, *Evolve* which is certainly a fan favorite... Pau (drums) came up with *Evolve* after watching a documentary about evolution and gene manipulation... this isn't the first time she has drawn inspiration from a TV show or movie, either...

i'm quite proud and happy for DPA/TW for making these milestone appearances at two MTV functions, the MIAW in CDMX (back in Aug 2023) and the VMAs in NY&NJ (Extended Stage) (in Sep 2023)... three additional milestones for their VMA appearance are
1) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the VMAs,
2) they were invited to perform,
3) they were not nominated for anything...
those speak volumes in a great and huge way! now add to that they have been doing this for 10 years... most of that was while independent...
i would also be remiss if i didn't mention that this performance was real unlike the other groups that also performed here... DPA/TW did both of their songs fully live and in one take each while the other performers lip synced and took all three allowed takes... the ""best"" of those takes was selected for airplay... DPA/TW were also the only ones to be announced on the main stage when it was time to present their performances...
watching Pau (drums) firing her *_"Scream of Evolution"_* toward the heavens releasing all of her frustrations and pain so she can *Evolve* and grow past them is always a treat 😜 she has described the scream she does in *Evolve* in similar fashion and she brings it for real each and every time they present this hard rocking power ballad in concert or live sessions...
Pau has also stated that playing here on this stage was a very _surreal moment_ ... she said the stage was very much like the stage in the game Rock Band... i can easily see that they might have felt as if they had been transported into the game... i'm sure they imagined similar when they were playing the game as children and just beginning to find their path in life pre-2012 or so... in Aug 2023 they celebrated their 10th Anniversary as a band... i can't wait to see what the future bring to them!
Fun Fact: Pau has three screams/yells that she does... the first, most well known, one in *Evolve* , one in *Z* , and the other in *Hunter* ...

Actually it’s not. The girls have said that they have never seen Breaking Bad. This came straight out of the brain of Pau
The headset mic is probably a unidirectional dynamic mic, so it isn't likely to pick up much more than her voice directly in front of it, and what little bleed there is would be unnoticeable. I think she lifts her head like that because of the vocal. I heard a vocal coach say that it was a common technique.

Hey Dude, The Warning are coming back soon - They play in Münster (pretty close to NL, isn't it) on July 29th) - I'll be there and recommend you get there too :o) They are best experienced live and they will play most of the new songs from their 4th album. I have heard 5 fo the songs live and they are danm good. You should be there!
