Bad news a year after that a slipped into an alcohol and drug addiction for 30 years. Good news January 8 2020 the Lord delivered me and now I'm more than ready to share about his amazing love. This is my prayer❤
I was living with my boyfriend who was in a rock band when this album came out. I was turning to the Lord, but he wasn't. This tape just happened to be in the cassette deck in my car when he borrowed my car. He told me about how he cried when this song came on and he prayed to God for the first time in a long time. We eventually split up, but it always stuck with me about how powerful a song can be when God uses it to reach someones heart. Petra was used by God that day.
I loved Petra when I was in high school too. Back in the 80s. I wish I would have followed them more than Rock singers. But, God kept fighting for me. And I'm back to following God's will and listening to music that I wouldn't be ashamed of listening to if he was right next to me.
I was a teenager in high school when i found petra on fire . beyond belief. Unseen power this band helped me so much cause i never had friends cause i was in special education and i was about to commit suicide then i heard this song playing on the radio and it saved my life since then I've always loved petra
Praise JESUS for this miracle! God has TRULY anointed Petra and used them in MIGHTY ways! John Schlitt almost committed suicide before he came to the Lord, but God picked him up at JUST the right time!
Anyone here at the end of 2021? As a young 24yr old (thank you parents for amazing musical taste), I feel like we need to hear this one now, more than ever. Will never tire of John Schlitt's voice and the truth from this music.
I am a mom now, but I heard Petra early in the 80’s. This ministry changed my life; I thought that me loving rock music so, there would never b a chance for me to be accepted by God or his people. What a mind blowing experience when I heard Petra! The lyrics of their songs based on the Scriptures, I was blown away! I could worship my Lord and Savior with the songs and music that I really liked. Then I came to love this ministry and kept listening. All I have from Petra are cassettes, because then there were no CD’s. God gave Jesus to all peoples, tribes, to the whole world! He took care of all our differences, and even there He did a wonderful job. Thank you for this video, may God bless you more and your loved ones as well! You have made my heart burst in very sweet, warm memories from those days with Petra.🕊💞

I love the dynamic in this song - John sings at the end of the choruses "I lift it in Your Name" except for the last chorus when he says "In Jesus Name". I am stirred every time I hear this song. Thank you Petra!
All of their songs speak volumes, BUT there is none like this one. Everytime I hear it, it moves me, and most recently with becoming a Chaplain in the Fire Service and Interim Pastor, the words of the 2nd verse speak of what I believe!!! Thanks to whomever is sharing this song, plz let it be a tool to lead so many to Christ.

I thank God for the ministry He gave Petra. The influence they had on a 15 year old new convert is beyond description . The passion and holy desire they brought to Christian music has helped many in their walks with Christ. To think that alot of the church was against Christian music of any kind , unless it was approved by them, is a travesty . Thankful that they continued on .
