SkillFullTurk585 The bushing in the clutch lever has a constant outside diameter, and a constant inside diameter so it does not matter which end is on the bottom or top.
Stripped the clutch lever bolt on my 2016 zx6r while I was replacing my levers.. anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the bolt?? The levers are on and the bolt is on tight but the nut just spins when I try to loosen or tighten.
Beachhz apply pressure from the end of the socket wrench and push up. It kind of doesn't want to seat the socket in the nut, so pushing up on the socket with one hand helps. It is a 10mm for sure though
First of all don't attempt to ride the bike until you fix the problem. It sounds like you have the wrong lever for the master cylinder. Where did you buy the levers?
@@derekrivera9487 well I can't help you much with those since they did not come from our company and I don't have knowledge of the parts Revzilla us selling. Our videos typically depict the installations of parts made and sold by us. It does sound like you received the wrong model lever so I would bring that up to them.
awessome video. very informative
So does the CBR600 and the ZX6R could use the same type of brake levers? They look very similar.
They do look similar, and the OE ones for both models are made by Nissin, but there are small nuances that make them not cross compatible.
the thing you took off the old lever and put it in the new one does that matter which side is up and which side is down or both sides are identical?

Holy shit what brand 10mm are you using? I can't fit my Husky one in there to loosen the bolt. Plz respond asap.
Beachhz I believe we were using a Husky as well. Perhaps you have a different size nut on there?
TSTindustries huh
