Excellent tutorial. Well presented and very clear. Thank you. I found that on some images, usually family photos, raising the flow rate gave me the results I was looking for, minimizing hot spots very subtly while maintaining structure. I understand that on higher end images, where even minor changes are seriously considered, a lower flow rate would be more effective. But to remove redness or highlights or shadows, I got the results I wanted at a higher flow rate. This is the first time I've understood the purpose of the mixer brush... brilliant!
I'm glad this has been helpful to you. I have had this issue of not really understanding many tutorials I watched in the past. Reason I started this channel, so I can help others like me understand certain basic things.
pizza is very necessary! I used to use the lasso tool and experienced the look you talked about. It's part of the reasons I decided to master the mixer brush. It will take some time but once you master it, you won't regret it.
