@@anthonytaylor7928 Agree. The supposition all the CC lovers use is to blame everyone else other than the players themselves. If only we could change coaches and let CC be CC everything would be solved. Wrong. I'm a big CC fan, but I've been telling everyone since she was drafted don't have unrealistic expectations. CC will have to adjust to the WNBA, not the other way around. Taurasi was right. Clark is going to have the other team's best defensive players in her face the whole game. We've already seen it in preseason and Game 1. She's playing against pros, people, not some scrub transfer from Wichita. Think what Muhl/UConn did against her in the NCAA Final Four game and multiply that for the whole season. I think she needs to develop a mid-range shot and floater, so when she drives to the basket and the defense collapses on her she can either pass or shoot without getting tied up or hammered. That takes NOTHING away from her game other than not shooting 15 three's a game. But I understand shooting outrageous 3's is what most people come to see her for, and may be disappointed with what they see as a "muted" game from her. CC will have to adapt.

And she is supposed to Save women's basketball smh. Looking for her to bounce back next game with a solid 25 points and 6 assists with ONLY 3 turnovers.
She may have had 10 turnovers yet she still scored 20 points in a debut. That's playing with a team with no continuity yet. So yes when you go from playing with people you've played with for a long time to people you haven't there's going to be miscommunication until you gain a rhythm.

It happens many times in the NBA, that new comers need years to start winning well, championships.
Just remember, CC is on a team that has been at the bottom of the league the past two years, and their head coach has been their head coach the past two years. In her WNBA debut, Taurasi scored 22 points in a 72-66 loss to the Sacramento Monarchs. For the season,Taurasi averaged 17.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Let's just wait and see how the season turns out for CC.

She needs to learn how to create off the dribble then pull up for a jumper or drive to the basket use her left hand or something shes can't depend on screens all the time
@@anthonytaylor7928 i think its a combination of those. I think what the opposing team are doing is already full court pressing her. So her team mates need to set screens so she dont get caught up like Steph team mates does

Have we ever seen Caitlin make 3 consecutive dribbles attacking the basket with her left hand? While she has an accurate 3pt shot its fundamentals in her game that appear underdeveloped. These grown ladies in WNBA will force her to improve since the NCAA was unable to. I'm interested in seeing how she evolves & adapts

It does feel as if the hype over women’s basketball lost a lot of steam since Caitlin Clark lost the national championship game in her final game in college, but perhaps they can regain some of that steam when the WNBA season starts.
