I can't find the umbrella case would it be possible if you could please help me find it
Also did you buy the umbrella with it or separately because the colours are a crazy good match
@@Velturias The colors are beautiful! It is way down on the list: amzn.to/4dZQ2Jp
My biggest vacation pet peeve are people who race down to the pool in the early morning to reserve pool chairs for them and their friends and then don’t show up until after lunch. So many times my wife and I go down to enjoy the pool and there are almost no people there yet all chairs are “taken”. I simply remove the towels and use the chairs. They don’t own the chairs and I paid the same as they did so you snooze, you lose.
I will never understand people who do that!! It’s so rude! I move them too!
Especially when the hotel doesn’t do anything about it
I use bike shorts with a pocket under dresses; the pockets come in handy if the dress doesn’t have pockets
Yes classic!! If they are thin enough, they could work for me.
This is what I wear too.
Lands End makes great athletic shorts to wear under dresses and they have pockets
So you pull up your dress to get to your pockets? …I might be too old for this idea.
@@bjohn8943 only in a restroom or secluded place obviously lol
The jockey skimmies slip shorts are thin and cooling. Worn them for years. Buy black so they look like bike shorts in case your dress/skirt blows up😀
Thank you!!!
I love them.
Here is something that also works for bug bites, is not a liquid , and it works! I bring HERO patches. They are small , round patches that are really for blemish clear up BUT they work fabulously on bug bites. Just peel one round patch, place over on bite and leave it on skin overnite or even for a couple of days. Itching stops and bite clears up! Blessings!
There are different types. Which do you prefer?
Ooh, I’m curious about this too!
@@tammyjohnson6822 Mighty Patch Original by Hero
@@lisamerriman255 Mighty Patch Original by Hero
Oh I love this tip! I use them already for blemishes but I never considered for bug bites! The mosquitos love me and I always use after bite but Im absolutely going to try this (bonus points because its not a liquid!). Thank you!
Great tips as always. Thank you. Extra suggestion, I use the mini umbrella sleeve as a round hairbrush sleeve to prevent the bristle from catching on things in my carryon suitcase.
I would call that a travel hack! Thanks for sharing.
You hit the jackpot today Laurie. Thanks for bringing us awesome finds. I love your channel l.
Oh my word, thanks so much. I debated breaking it in two!
Just got back from 26 day trip to Europe. Do not stress about bringing all your stuff. You can buy anything you need and more in the thousands of stores there.
If you get a bite and don’t have any after bite lotion, you can use a dab of hand sanitizer. It works because of the alcohol in it. 😎
I bought an RFID crossbody bag to store my bank cards and cellphone as you have advised in your previous videos. Thanks for the tip Laurie 😘
Back in the Sixties we wore "petit pants". They did the trick!
Those tripped compression cubes are the BEST! I didn't care for towel bands either BUT I put one around my suitcase for easy identification (when it is put under belly of plane.)
Smart!!
We like towel bands, they take up less room and work great for us.
So many cruise vacationers love them!
Last month, I used the Tripped Travel Gear compression cubes for the first time and they were great. I was surprised how many tops I was able to pack in them. From a previous video from Laurie, I purchased a crossbody that comes in several colors. Once boarded, I removed it from my "under the seat carry on". The crossbody was the perfect size and had an exterior pocket that perfectly held my power charger (also recommended by Laurie), the other exterior pocket held a mini word puzzle booklet, power cord, and ink pen. Inside the crossbody was snicky snacks and not sure what else. LOVED how much stuff fit in the cross body, and it was easy to neatly organize. Also used Laurie's packing tips to maximize space of every nook & crannie, as I took carry-on luggage only for 8 days. I ended up packing more tops than I needed and the weight of the soft exterior overhead piece of luggage was heavy and was a tight fit. But it all worked! THANK YOU LAURIE!
Good call on the fan! Stagnant air is a thing for me! I have a fan going all year for just that reason!
Same here! I am on a river cruise trip now and wish I would’ve packed it. But I’m also raging hormones right now
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie 😂 Yes. Menopause was early for me and years later I'm still constantly overheated!
LOVE the little zip silicone bags! Got them before you mentioned them! They can hold so many different things (for me: Splenda, pills, Tylenol, 3 wet wipes for my purse on an outing, floss sticks, dental tabs, earrings, necklace, earring backs, small band aids, hair clips/bobby pins, quarters, screws, safety pins, plus so many others!)
I take medication twice a day. I have tried every type of pill organizer for both at home and for travel. At home i use ones like laurie, with day and night in same container. For travel, I have settled on the round, flat daily pill boxes (mine came from Dollar Tree), one color for morning, one for night. They take up very little room in carryon bag.😍
Thanks so much! We need a TH-cam channel just on medicine!
I take several meds and supplements, many of which are large capsules. I’m preferring the pill pack ziplocs to 7 day cases. Once used, they can be jettisoned or filled again, perhaps with seashells or the like
Hi Laurie thanks for another great video. Tell Aullie we like his new summer haircut! 🐶 Be well be blessed ❤
Will do!!
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie 💚
I'm going on a Mexican Riviera cruise on Friday and am in the market for a set of packing cubes... THANK YOU!!!
Next on my shopping list is a DAY PACK! (NOT a backpack...)
SUGGESTIONS ANYONE??? 🛩️🌍🛳️
I have many suggestions: www.amazon.com/shop/traveltipsbylaurie/list/2MKQ5NLK6NHTN?ref_=aipsflist_aipsftraveltipsbylaurie
I had one of those fans that I used in Iceland a couple of years ago in June. Wasn't overly hot, but no air circulation in the room. A must have.
Thigh society cooling shorts are wonderful! I wear them under all my dresses and skirts in the summer heat and humidity in TN! Literally can’t even feel them and work so well! They come in different lengths too!
Thank you for your input!!
I have the Cadence travel containers & they’re great . Being magnetic you can stack them in one long stack to keep them all together. They also have little labels on the top that identify what’s inside. Lots of pretty colors to choose from.
They're so pretty!
Pricey
Love my Cadence travel containers especially for shampoo and conditioner ❤❤❤❤❤
I have a purple travel umbrella like your blue one. I love having the case so I can put it in my bag and my bag doesn’t get all wet and it also doesn’t get damaged. My umbrella does double duty for the rain and the sun. 😀 Another great and informative video. Thank you.
I can see how it could get damaged-good point.
Great tips Laurie as always 😊
Thank you Cindy!
We are going to desaru Malaysia.
Beach ⛱️ here we come!
Oh wow, it will be beautiful I hear! Those beaches look serene.
Got the double glasses case and love it! It does not hold my prescription sunglasses because they are too big, so on the second side I put in glasses cleaner or anything else that I might need. A handy little case!
I love that thing and am waiting for my prescription sunglasses boohoo.
I buy first aid kit refills for burn gel, hydrocortisone and triple antibiotic. Also they make sunscreen wipes
Thx
Agreed. I have them in the little packets, and hydrocortisone in a small tube since I’m more likely to use it.
@@MsRotorwings i keep them in my purse too not just for travel.
Individually wrapped pics. What a GREAT idea!! Gotta grab some of those. Carry some pics in an Altoid tin in my purse. Then I Whine that it takes up too much room, but I HAVE to have them! We wait until we get in the car. LOL Thanks! Love this one!
Ha!
You're the only lady I know that holds up three fingers using her thumb instead of your three middle fingers I am so glad you articulate . Thank you thank you thank you
I think it’s because when I was in Germany a summer in college, it stuck.
You are so adorable and I love all of your tips and hacks.
I try to add in the tips and tricks so people get extra value. Thanks
So many great tips & finds Laurie ! The eyeglass case is so awesome I got a second one as a backup to hold "whatever". It's so sturdy & doesn't take up much room so it became an organizer, with glasses on one side & essentials on the other. Hello Aullie & Nathan, hope y'all are safe & sound ~ Wanda
That's a good idea. I'm going to guess you got the lime one.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie I did ! Also the blue one ~
We love those tiny baggies…we use them for travel but also if we go out to dinner (we take pills at dinner time).
Yes, clean and so smooth to pack.
Hi Laurie, thank you very much for your great tips.
Will you do a video for travelling with dogs in the future?
I second this please!
Hi, here is mine: bit.ly/FlyWithDog
I see Ollie got his summer cut. He looks adorable 🥰
Now this is the ULTIMATE list of summer travel must-haves! ☀Thanks, Laurie!
I totally agree!
that medicine cooler you recommended a year or two ago worked great. it's made for 2 insulin pens, but I got 3 into it.
also, don't forget you can get sunscreen wipes.
and since I was taking care of things for my MIL, and had a checked bag full of tools, and I had a hotel overnight before the flight, I just preloaded my toothbrush with toothpaste for the morning of the flight, and put all my liquids in ziplocks in the checked bag. next year, we'll need to drive, though, because there's a bit more to do next year than this year. I'll need the full set of tools.
Hi Laurie.!! Another great video and another $80 spent at Amazon for me.! Lol. Thank you for all your tips.!!
You are too funny. If you do not love anything, return it. It's your investment. But they're so fun!
you have a bunch of great new finds! The blister bandages, little bags, chargers and some of the other items! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I have just returned from vacation (2 weeeks Mauritius) and I had the case for two glasses, it was so good. And I have a tip for mosquito bites: it is called „heat it“ its a little stick which gets hot, with an app on your phone, and you have to press the hot end on the fresh bite, it works!
I bring hemorrhoid ointment which works well-drys it up and stops eating!
Thanks for sharing!
Wow!!! A lot of great info today!!! ❤❤❤
I almost cut it in two.
Thanks for another great video. Picking up several things this time but really love the umbrella with the case!
I was just "trying it out" and had to keep it. Wish I would've gotten pink since the gray is so dark. It's fantastic!
Hey Laurie. Thanks for all the travel hacks . I noted them out. This video is worthy of sharing indeed. Love it! ❤️ ❤❤.🖖🙌
Thanks for the Summer travel tips. Yay! I get to go on Amazon to shop for new travel items I want to add to my collection😊
Have fun! I just love them.
OOH, a mountain vacation! That's exactly where I am going!! WOOT! :)
Great video! I bought the umbrella with sun protection, anti-itch ointment, little pill pockets, moleskins, and floss sticks. Going to Japan in a few weeks. Summer can be hot and humid there.
EEEK! @trippedtravelgear made a TH-cam about things to do on the first day in Tokyo. They're TH-camrs too and have traveled the world. SO humid! Have such a bucket list trip!!
I ❤️ Spanx, but they do make me sweat. Have you tried Thigh Society? Very lightweight & no swaying! Only drawback is that they do not “hold you in” like Spanx…great for dresses.
I bought what I thought were TS and did not like them but last week I found some on Amazon that are amazing!
I wear the anti chafing shorts from Snag Tights, and those work for me. The shorter ones from Jockey ride up above where my thighs touch, making them useless under dresses and skirts
Thanks so much!
Great tips and ideas. I just bought the new world places compression cubes because someone said it's easier to remember where you put things, such as tops in the Sydney cube, undies in the Paris cube, etc. I think that's a great idea and way to keep me organized!! Love your videos!!!
Oh wow! See, I learn something new every day! Thank you
Hi.. thanks for sharing these.. I’ve become a good fan of you… and all you share… lol I’ve started having most of your shares.. down to the packing cubes.. very pricey but yes they are very pretty and I love compressed packing cubes myself before following you and your shares..
Great tips Laurie! Thanks so much!!
You are so welcome!
I ordered the short sleeve sweater you have on but in white with black stripes. Love it!
I was hoping to see a link to this attractive sweater. Would you pkease leave it for me. Thank you!
Love stripes for travel too.
Here it is: amzn.to/3yDatLQ
Hope you are ok with all that crazy weather !!! Thanks for your wonderful videos.
Yes! The storms skirted us-we're 20 miles north but still considered Houston lol.
@@TravelTipsbyLaurie Glad to hear it :)
Hey Laurie, I’m obsessed! Your tips are incredible and just make sense! Mahalo Plenty for your videos…..please keep it coming ❤
Thank you! Will do!
When I pulled out the tiny ziploc bag with my broken tooth in it, the dentist wanted to know where I got them. I told her, Laurie influenced me. I also purchased the double-sided glass case. Great for travel, but a little bulky for day to day use in a small purse. I found a soft sided one on Amazon that I use daily and fits larger glasses, that I can smoosh and so far, so good. Love your videos. You can influence me any day! Thanks
Oh wow! I love that the dentist asked! Did he/she give you money from the tooth fairy?? I just bought prescription sunglasses and of course they do not fit the travel case. Guess I won't see at the beach!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
I love the Tripped cubes and the toiletry kit! Our next trip we’re going to try to do carry on only. Your tips are awesome!!
Hope it works out!
Sunday May 10, 2w024. Well I am back from my trip and I can say that I will miss watching your cheerful informative videos everyday. They provided me hours of fun and helpful information for months. I was sick for about 3 weeks in March and then watched them daily until we left in April. Thanks Laurie and take care…until my next ‘far away’ adventure. Hugs
Welcome home!!
I want to thank you for all your tips. I’ve been watching for a couple years now and have used some of your tips. Keep them coming. I appreciate you.
Skimmies from Jockey are so comfortable for summer - totally recommend!
You are amazing! Thank you Laurie for your invaluable information. I have been watching your TH-cam videos for about a year. I have bought some things off of Amazon that you have suggested. Have fun on your travels! Marna from Washington State.
Wonderful!
Brilliant 😊
I love watching your videos. You’re so helpful and just too cute!
Thanks Laurie for 2024 summer edition. Happy Summer 😘😘👙👙⛱️⛱️⛱️🏝️🩳🩳
Hope you have a happy summer vacation!
The little tin is a perfect size!
I love that thing
I'm not traveling anytime soon, but I just really enjoy these videos, Laurie. Thanks for sharing these tips.
Thank you!
I’m picking up a lot of your essentials! I love your videos and feel like I’ll be prepared when traveling! Thanks 🙏
It's fun before a trip! Have a great one.
Just got back from 3 trips, 2 planes a week at beach!!! THANK YOU! used a lot of your tips and suggestions! ( extra night clothes in personal bag...we got bumped!) Can't wait for my next trip. Have a good day .
Fantastic!
Thank you for sharing the link for the skort!! I’m 5’10” and couldn’t ever find a moderate length skort. I’m ordering one today.
I just learned about several items that are in a stick. Sunscreen, hydration lotion for body and face. Have a great summer everyone 😎
Great tip!
Ooo have not even dived deep into this and already scrolling on Amazon for this packing cubes! Need to pack them with outfits in mind, not separate items I think as I get all mixed up in my other packing cubes … 🎉
That is how many people organize their packing cubes.
Hi Laurie. I started watching your videos 3 years ago before my first plane trip …and watch every year before travel . Very helpful. Love your tips. Went to North Carolina last 2 years, but going to Savannah GA this year. Thanks for the video’s .
Welcome back! Hope you have a delicious trip and not too humid.
I like how your top matches your carry on backpack!
hehe
Thank you Laurie-such helpful travel items and many were great reminders of “must haves”!
You are so welcome!
I love the glasses case. That was an awesome find! You have the most practical advice
If I don't love it, it is not worth keeping...unless I forget to return it ugh.
I tried the travel bands and loved them for trecking to beaches.
I wanted to love them. Ahhh the beach!
You can also use a sunscreen stick which is not considered a liquid.
Hey Laurie! Thanks for all these wonderful and very useful travel tips. I've been following you for months now, and I'll be travelling to Eu this June. I'm so excited already to pack my things! 😃
Thanks for another great video! I puchased the sunglass case a few months back after watching one of your other videos. I love it. Also love the small baggies. Handy for keeping lots of small items from getting lost in my purse.
Yes I love those things-easy to pack.
Hi Laurie! Long time fan here. I love your videos and from you get recommendations for lots of good things I can use whether I'm going on a vacation or not! Thank you so much!
For the thigh chafing… I use regular antiperspirant/deodorant. Works well and doesn’t irritate my skin. I tried using shorts but then my skirt or dress would get getting stuck between my thick thighs. The antiperspirant/deodorant worked like a charm and my dresses and skirts would flow freely, the way god intended.
Thank you Laurie for all the great ideas! I am off to Europe soon and will definitely use some of your tips!
Oh awesome! I’m planning one for international.
I love your videos! I have purchased and been very happy with many of your suggestions, the Lovook backpack, the Level 8 carry on suitcase and the Spanish style dress (in light pink and white!!)!
Ooh I bet the light pink version is pretty! I do like the black one too.
I was so excited to try the sunglasses holder, but my glasses didn’t fit.🫤Quick & easy return with Amazon! 👏🏼
Pooey! I did list ones that fit-I should have said that the movie Risky Business style also fit.
THANK YOU ❣️
LOVE AND HUGS❤
Same to you!
Tide-to-Go pens are not a new item. I have been using it since 2006 when I saw a friend use it when we were in France. She got chocolate out of white denim! That sold me!
Laurie, I got your raincoat (on a earlier video) in green for an April trip to Ireland. It was great, and so comfortable. The fabric is so soft to the touch, but waterproof.
Yes the er nurse sold me on the pen too! Thx!!!
Thanks, Laurie! Love your tips & clothes! I've bought so many things from your suggestions. I cant wait for our Playa Mujeres vacay in July to try them all out.
Oh have a beautiful sunny time!
Very nice scarf
I really like this one-and it’s versatile.
Thigh society makes great products for chub rub! They have one called cooling and it comes in 5 and 7 inches. Life saver under dresses/skirts. So very light!
Yes, not sure how I missed that.
The moleskins look wonderful - I have never seen it in that form before! AfterBite is essential for Canada - mosquitoes the size of birds! Some really great things -
I was surprised we did not see them in 2022 September.
I adore the cadence containers! I also have some of the medium size for things I need more of like sunscreen. They are still TSA compliant as well.
Yes yes! So glad to get my hands on them for a summer trip.
Thank you for the great video!
I bought the travel fan well over a year ago and use it all the time while away and at home.
Just ordered the sunscreen for the head-scalp for my husband. He is so happy to hear it’s coming.
Appreciate all the links and product reviews! Super helpful because you travel and understand what helps make a vacation easier.
Happy summer travel to all!!
Thank you for sharing some great products!
I have the same portable little fan and it 🎉gets used both at home and on vacation. This way the ceiling fan is is low enough for him and I am comfy too
Yes, I have had this fan for probably 10 years. Good one
Great tips and products!!!!! Thanks!!!
I think so too! Great for traveling.
I purchased from Amazon 2 skorts like you mentioned. They are so comfortable, and they're long enough to look like a skirt.
Thank you so much for these tips, Laurie!
You are so welcome!
I buy the original Vaseline in a 8,2 ml/7g size in Denmark 🇩🇰 they had them in Dubai as well 😅 just to save a future decanting🥄
I love the sunscreen sticks, I buy them more often now generally versus lotion. Between that and deodorant it makes room for other liquids I bring!
Saving room in that bag is huge!
Tiger balm works great to cut the itch from mosquito bites. I use tiny tins.
Lots of great ideas. TFS
Thanks so much!
