Grazie per i complimenti! Il raccordo non so come si chiama, ma sono raccorderie per idraulica opportunamente modificate, anche la T che vedi dovrebbe essere un portagomma da 16mm. Ciao 73's
Where did you get the poles for this? They look like my fiberglass poles, but much more robust, and, perhaps, a light plastic? I would like to find some telescoping poles like this. Thanks.
Hi, i was sent this video by a guy who purchased one of these from you. Are you still making and selling them? I might be interested in buying one. Thank you!
What a nice home brew job you have made with the antenna. Can you tell me with the feed point, was it a 1:1 Balun? Or did you just split the coaxe where the braid went to one side and the centre conductor to the other side of the driven ele. Very impressed with antenna, so much, I will make one myself. Thanks
Buone cose e buoni dx.
Good morning, this antenna was bought or was made for you? Which measures the reeds? Or it will have the schema for me to build such an antenna? Thanks in advance
I have never hidden the antenna's authorship G4ZU, as you can see on my website. This is specifically version designed expecially for portable use, and redesigned with antenna-software to have better f/b response and a symmetrical structure with four spreaders of equal length, as in Spiderbeam. I think you've made the discovery of hot water! :))
Super Nice m8 super Nice that you show this idea Tnx 73s Yes i also QSO With a guy in India With the same principle on the antenna and it worked very very well up here to Norway 5/9 loud and Clear on his 50 watt so time to build one of the same to bring out for DX :) Great work m8 great Idea tnx for sharing this With us all and keep up Your good work regards Junior In Norway :)
You can not compare this antenna to an Imax 2000, because it same if you compare a 3 elem yagi with a vertical 5/8... anyway usually on dx contacts difference is 3 to 4 S points more and less QSB. The SWR is not necessary to tune, because the antenna cover 1,7MHz bandwidth, anyway for fine tuning need only to adjust the central dipole of few millimeters. 73's
like your style!.......looking forward to getting mine up
This is the The G4ZU Bird Yagi In the ARRL Antenna Compendium, Volume 2 (pp. 58-60), Dick Bird, G4ZU, presented his variant on the 3-element Yagi.
Muy buena organizacion de los elementos que constituyen esta antena y tambien muy buena altura sobre todo muy buen video. 73 cordiales.
@1SD019 Thanks for the reply. Would be great then for portable use.

There are other in Europe that sell it. 73

Hi Xavier, try ask to 30DA016 Dave... on:www.dx4.us/
Base version is almost the same but with iron central cross and clamps, and heavy rods..
Anybody know how effective this antenna is? Don't know anyone that has it.
It is effective like any other 3 elements YAGI... the principle is the same.
Mission accomplished... Almost, the video is 03:53 Min. long!
It say's in under 5 mins!!!!!
Great video..
But think the skyrex beam is better antenna .. Love the builds you have done be nice to see performance on your radio
