Your insights resonate with me beyond styling Silvana. You conveyed an entire philosophical perspective so precisely when you stated “…it is about refinement.” It truly is. I am such a big fan of your work, and I am truly appreciative of you sharing your talent. 🤍
Great tips. I have trouble letting go of occasion wear, shoes, bags, etc. if I still love them, I put them away until they come back in style. I agree the crewneck schoolgirl looking cardigans are a no go, ditto on lace. I do like the Sezanne collared merino wool cropped cardigans with matching buttons. Agree with you totally on tailoring. Thanks!
Thanks for stopping by, yes, when well made occasion wear lasts a lifetime. And yes there are good cardis, they just aren't me and that's the beauty of personal style, it's 'personal' otherwise everyone would wear exact, the same things, right?
I love blazers instead of cardigans. I have a big bust so cardigans make me look frumpy. I need a structured piece if I’m layering and blazers work perfectly for me
Completely disagree with you about cardigans. They are a classic in any wardrobe. I agree some can look old and outdated but they are so practical. I have also seen many European women wearing them, therefore for me, they can be a yes. Sad that you are completely dismissing them.
I live in Europe and I travel frequently to Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Hungary, Croatia and Serbia and Spain and I haven't come across a stylish woman that wore a cardigan yet. Zara came out with a few cardigans in autumn, but they are still sitting on the shelves, they are so not in demand. There is a reason why brands like Jil Sander, Versace, D&G, YSL, Lanvin or Balmain very rarely, if ever at all offer cardigans. Cardigans are associated with the elderly who wear them to keep warm, not to be stylish. I think your idea of European women wearing cardigans is associated with movies of the 50s. It's an outdated stereotype, like assuming French women wear berets and German and Austrians wear dirndls. Stylish women consider cardigans to be frumpy, they prefer more structured items like blazers or coats. Cardigans aren't in demand at all and stylish women avoid wearing them. So Silvana is completely right, cardigans look cheap. High fashion brands don't offer them, only high street brands like Zara or H&M have them in their shops, they are marketed towards quirky teenagers, but even to them cardigans are soiled goods.
@@JuicyMango753 I completely agree with you! I am old and I live in Austria and the only places I find cardigans being sold are traditional folklore shops. I myself wear cardigans in the office, where I move little and it is so so cold. But for meetings I have two blazers (black and grey) always hanging behind me. I think the reason why cardigans are not flattering to most women is the bulk they create in the belly area.
Hi Anna, if you want or need something it's totally fine. If that bothers you though, think of other items that make you feel more like yourself. The good news is that there are options out there :)
I don't understand why your channel has not grown exponentially. Keep going. You are a gem underrated on this platform. Much love.

I NEED cardigans because I get cold. It’s so frustrating that they’re almost always short, boxy and with contrasting buttons, looking ridiculous 😕
