You've built up quite a great collection of Theravada teachings. Be resolute! Strive ardently! 😊👍☸️

The readings by Ajahn Jayasaro are better, read carefully so we can properly absorb the teachings, Ajahn Amaro reads manically, tripping over words, he's anxious and its causing anxiety to nervous system to listen.

Ramana Marashi went to live alone with hardly any words relationships and hardly left his dwelling area. Yet look what he found ! I think it is fine to live alone like that and also perfectly fine to live and have family and business etc. Some have deeper pulling towards the peace of no mind and no words, as soon as one has to think of words then they are out of the peace. Some practicioners find world far too intense and quite rightly

Ajahn, it is great to hear these excellent talks being read. But for some of us (non native English speakers in particular perhaps) it is at times hard to follow. The speed could be a little less... Thank you deeply anyway 🙏🙏🙏

If you go to the the 3 dots at the top left of your phone screen and scroll to playback speed , you are able to slow the playback speed to 75 and it is slower and easier to listen to. ☸️

Hoping someone could illuminate for me the term used which sound like gotribucitta? Not familiar with it and my spelling must be too far off for Google

Do you mean this 07:40? If so, that is puttujjana, ordinary unenlightened person as opposed to ariya = noble person. It says: All of Buddha's disciples were ordinary, unenlightened people at the beginning of their practice.

“.... I know the way to go beyond my defilements, but I’m still unable to go there!...” This is me! My Mind is plagued by mind objects. Try as I may, I cannot or it is difficult to shake them off. (Is the Mind separate from the one who is talking/the one making these comments? Is it Awareness!!)

A key teaching is to first open the body and enter into a natural lower abdominal breathing, many manipulate the breathing . Also knowing the different ways of the mind such as imagination, visualization, intention, or awareness. Most are in autopilot bouncing between imagination and visualization. Calmness is the way to awareness and getting out of thinking into natural resonance of physical, mind, breathing and energy flows.

Mind objects are a good starting point. Choose an object to focus on, breath, or a mantra/word. Focus only on that mind object. Each time a thought arises no matter how rapidly just label it. More technically, investigate it referencing these three, impermanence, suffering, and non-self. Once you've established any of those three categories the thought/image/idea/emotion falls into, go back to focusing on your chosen mind object.
Do this until the mind relaxes. Practice this everyday twice or 3 times a day and especially immediately upon waking.

This really should be spoken much slower as it’s hard to follow fast speech when focusing hard to learn new, difficult & essential matters.
It helps to punctuate, enunciate & read out clearly so that it sounds like a natural speech or lecture is being delivered.
Accents can become easier to understand too, if done this way. Eases matters greatly for listeners. Thank you.

The translation is great, but speech is too fast, as if hurried.
