I love this idea! Thanks for sharing. This is one of the best ideas to convert my 2013 Dodge minivan into a camper. I have been watching TH-camr van living for almost 7 years. It's been 4 years since the passing of my husband to pancreatic cancer. I will now focus on me now. I've already removed the lift from my van already. I need to have one sit and the long sit in the back remove for extra storage. Important essential I must have before I make my move. I'm a senior on fix income so fed up with high rent that continue to go up every year. Forcing so many on the street. I hope to find your information below.
Thanks for watching! I am so sorry for your loss❤️ I think minivan life will be perfect for you. It's affordable, simple and you get to see new places. Please keep us updated on your journey❤️
Wow ! What an insightful video ! You for sure know how to highlight the best feature of our kit ! Thank you for spreading your love for vanlife, we love watching you !!
We have a RoadLoft kit in a ‘22 Pacifica (July). We purchased a refrigerator with a lid that opens from the narrow end - much less hassle to access. Kit was super well made and at the same time lightweight. We have not gone stealth mode yet but love the easy set up at campgrounds and quick exits. Meanwhile we have a great vehicle for hauling people and stuff when we are not camping.
It is an ICECO brand. I believe this is the size we purchased. 31.7QT JP30 12V APP Controlled Refrigerator Portable Fridge Freezer Ours does not have an app to check on it so they may have added that feature as ours is 1.5 years old. We have had no issues. We did order on Amazon a new power cord for it so the plug head turns toward the side of the van that we keep our Jackery Power station.
We also remove one handle from the ICECO so it fits nicely. We have since thought about adding a small strap using the screw holes for the handle but we’ve not gotten that done yet. When we aren’t using the van we bring the refrigerator into the house and use it for food and beverages when we need overflow room. Has been a nice benefit.
I know this was posted 4 months ago so I hope by now you installed the kit properly. The table box should connect the front box and middle box. I noticed you had the “linking” hardware still in the drawer. The middle box should have levelling feet so it doesn’t see-saw. And finally the rear two boxes should rest on the back bumper/hatch sill. They shouldn’t be floating.
The front boxes that match up against the driver and passenger seat. Do they just float and are only connected to the back unit when the bed is in place?
The front bench box and small table box (also known as the library) all hook together and have connections to hold them in place. FYI owners kit says to NEVER sit on the bench without the pad in place as the removable lids to the box are not meant to support direct weight.
very good work. but I would use the front seats and turn them into the salon. you can make the swivel mechanisms yourself, you would have more free space since the front row disappears.

May I ask why you downsized? Cost of the bigger van? Reality hitting you don't need a large van? Change of life? I personally am back and forth on a mini van/chevy express build. Or a full sized van...
Sorry will be answering all these questions with a video soon but our new van cost like $12,000 for van, kit, fridge etc. We are happy with this change because of the cost, practicality and ability to move the kit to a different van if we have vehicle issues
Rosa saying flippity flip reminded me of the office where Michael kept trying to make the basket saying "See you on the flippity flip" I'm also in the market for a mini van conversion. Any advice?
We love the office!! We recommend the roadloft after reading all the reviews. No one has anything bad to say about them, the customer service is good and they hold their value pretty well. So far so good with out kit! Do not recommend the window coverings though. Will be returning ours and ordering the weathertech ones.
Hi Guys. Very nice set up. Is fantastic. I have a question. Can you share information to buy the bed frame and also is really necessary to remove the third seat row?. Thank you
Will this kit work with all the seats in the stow and go position. We are not looking to have it full time in a mini van, just summer for camping trips but will need three seats

@@tysonandrosa well, I think so, I have the tools to do it, I'm thinking about it. Maybe not with the same "finesse" these panes were made with machines with a CAD software, but I think I can reproduce most of it. A minivan is way more stealth, gas mileage and low profile than any other class B, you can park it everywhere... But, there's no toilet or shower but people can adapt to all situations. So, go on with your adventures and we'll be here watching and supporting.

Do you guys happen to know what year this Dodge Grand Caravan is? It's too bad I didn't get to see what grille it had on the front, but it has to be a 2008-2010 model year, as I did kind of make out the Dodge's Ram's head logo on the steering wheel.

I’m glad you mentioned the stow and go seats. Love it!
Yes they are so handy!!
I love this. I just downsized from a full size van to a Subaru Forester.
How are you liking it so far???
This Dodge is great when converted. Thanks for the video. Subscribed !
Yay thanks for subscribing!❤️
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you!
Should have put something between the bolt tighteners and the plastic sides to avoid rub marks
Thanks for the idea!!
Nice concept design except one thing: fridge placement. It would drive me nuts to have it so inaccessible.
Hope if works awesome for ya's though:)
It hasn't been too much of a problem yet but totally know what you mean!

Yes we actually talked about how this would be great!
Hey guys thanks for sharing that video ,I’m in the process of doing this myself, same van and I’m looking at all different conversion kits.?
😊
We've got an eye on a new one soon! Stay tuned!
I like what you guys did were can i buy that set up at?

So smart!
That’s sweet
Thank you!
You probably don't even need the frame, just shove a bed in the back on the floor with all the seats down 😂
100%
Nice amount of storage. 😊
Not bad for a minivan camper!!
"just like the American dream" 🤣 brilliant
The new American dream ahahaha
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing. What brand is this and can you please share the link if theres is one. Thank you so much.

So can you use the bed for one person with the table up?
Probably a Rosa-sized person. Definitely not a Tyson-sized person
This new vehicle probably uses less gas and is more stealthy (in those Walmart parking lots 😊).
So stealthy!!!
What year Dodge Caravan do you have? Please supply links to the kit and fridge you have.

You may not have built it but somebody did.
We just mean that it is a 5 minute process and you can be on the road in no time!
What dif type of vans will that same loft kit fit? And how much solar do you guys have?
Dodge Caravan, Town and Country, Toyota Sienna, and some SUVs too
Have you christened the bed yet?
Rawr
Perfect!!
Hi Guys. Very nice set up. Is fantastic. I have a question. Can you share information to buy the bed frame and also is really necessary to remove the third seat row?. Thank you
We purchased from a company in Quebec called Roadloft. You must remove the third seat in order to fit the fridge and have food storage.
Will this kit work with all the seats in the stow and go position. We are not looking to have it full time in a mini van, just summer for camping trips but will need three seats
Back row must come out
Where did you get this van conversion kit????? Please tell!

Why downsize from van to minivan esp with 2 people? Did you make those modular pieces or did you buy it?
We will making a video soon going over all the reasons we downsized! We purchased the kit from Roadloft( a company in Quebec)
Did you make that video about why you downsized?
The gas mileage shoukd be less. I know i can drive 12 hours on highway before i have to gas up and i have a Pontiac Montana van
Y we were disappointed with our mileage
Where did you guys buy the pre built wood pieces?

What was the purpose of down size and I don't understand.
Sold our Transit conversion in a good market. Wanted to give this a try! No regrets. 🤙
the kit costs more than the car itself lmao
Slightly less lol
I need the same conversion kit please. When can I find it?

You just insert the pieces in like 5 minutes
So you didn't cut the wood you sure did build it. Guess you didn't have to use your brain to design it
That's an interesting way to look at it. Thanks for your perspective!
Looks horrible ,really cramped.
