Out here on my farm it is the same. I use the cow manure and cover it with a light layer whole corn and then hay. This is done over the winter and builds to around 2 to 3 feet deep by spring. In the spring, the cows are turned to pasture and our hogs then turned into the area this deep bedding was built over the winter. The pigs root into the mix looking for the corn, as they dig in they turn the mix from anti aerobic to Aerobic. From there the mix is then used in the gardens, ect. For the pasture, the cows leave cow pies. grain is put on top of the cow pies and the chickens then scratch the pie and spread it into about a 3 to 4 foot circle. In this, the chickens are getting the grain AND bugs attracted to the cow pie AND spreading the manure into a wide circle which is fertilizer and keeps from burning the pasture. The Amish I’m guessing likely do a horse / hay mix and likely do the same with the chickens. Nice flight.
Hey David,I got a couple questions..What happened to your flyproducts rider and trike? I still need to buy my equipment and wanted your opinion and why you don’t have the rider anymore..thanks
I wanted a bigger trike and sold the Fly products setup. I bought another and as it turned out, I sold that too and no longer have a tandem trike of any kind. I did like the rider thrust from fly products and would recommend it, I did like the single foxy trike.
Love the "tiny world" video effect!
