The biggest obstacles getting in the way of the bill’s passage haven’t been the usual Republican suspects. Instead, it’s been two Democrats; Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. As a college student of Northern European heritage, I realized that I must do better by acknowledging the racist and misogynistic influences. I could see through the biases and how all of humankind is vulnerable to such depravity. I learned that the Northern European culture is NOT a measure to judge other cultures.

People with blue eyes have better eyesight in dark and dim lighting and require much less Vitamin D. People who have dark skin and live in the northern hemisphere like Scandinavia or Britain have serious trouble with vitamin D deficiency compared to the native indigenous population there.

You can raise minimum wage, doesn't mean that other companies will raise the pay. Even jobs that take skill won't see an increase to balance the minimum of 15. It's tough to see McDonald's hire at 15 but blue collar skillful jobs hire around the same when it takes more skill.

We use to expect each other to not kill one other, at a higher rate, than people normally do, but we have retreated from this, and treat it with a dismissive attitude - saying "it is not a thing", and compare it with normal crimes of passion. We use to say we're headed for self destruction, but now when anti Blackness, is on our lips, we say it's not a problem, because "people kill people they live near, and no other people talks about killing each other".
