Super Robot Wars V (EN) - Mazinger ZERO Rebirth & Evangelion 2.0 Final Fight (Stage 39)

- After ZERO is defeated, Ryoma invokes the power of Getter Rays to allow Kouji to communicate with the spirit of Mazinger/Possibility (which implies that this is the same ZERO after the conclusion of the manga). Kouji decides to resist the spirit and finally regains control of Mazinger. Jamie arrives with more Gardim forces but she picked the worst possible time to arrive as Kouji and ZERO are now truly united and ready to make the entire game a cakewalk.
Once the Tenth Angel is defeated, Shinji is able to rescue Rei. However, the team has no time to celebrate as Embryo, Leonard and Exev arrive to cause a space-time fusion of the three worlds which causes the dimensional horizon to collapse. If Shinji is aced and manages to defeat either of the Angels on this stage, a secret stage will be unlocked in the next stage.

Yamato, Pseudo-Evol Eva-01, Shin Getter Robo, Mazin Emperor G, Mazinger ZERO, Great Might Gaine('s Perfect Cannon), etc. Okay, you get the idea, there's a lot of juicy power to go around here. o3o
A most fantastic way to resolve Koji's dilemma with ZERO(and slap the 10th Angel and Jamie around), though I do hope for the day we get a scenario where characters have to fight the wild ZERO off in that warped reality from within kinda like in the Manga as shown before. Would be an interesting scenario for the likes of Big-O and Roger to participate in to say the least.

If this really is the same ZERO as the one in the manga, I guess it changed it goal from making sure it's the only mech in existence to being the best mech in all of multiverse.
Same one, but not a full-powered one. IIRC The full-powered MZero has no pilot.
Yuuki Terumi The strongest known, but I wouldn't say "full-powered." Zero can literally be as powerful as he wants/needs to be. He already ate a fucking multiverse.
+Karasamune But this ZERO isn't the same one as in the Manga. The fully-awakened or full-powered ZERO is made up of pure energy, kinda like STTGL.
This one is just its dormant state, Koji even lost control of it when ZERO began to wake up and had to employ the Getter Team's help to hamper ZERO's awakening.
In other words, this Mazinger ZERO is a suppressed one, not the same one who converged the entire Mazinger Metaverse in the manga. And you can already see how powerful it is in its restrained form.

Only difference is, in the final story part of Mazinger ZERO event, Hades casts a glimpse of the Getter Emperor and ZERO side-by-side. The Full-powered ZERO has a larger ring on its back. And in the Manga, ZERO's ring has like a V pattern across it.
That 10th Angel, compared to ZERO, is an absolute joke
Everything is a joke compared to Mazinger ZERO. Even Demonbane's creator admitted that it wouldn't even scratch ZERO at full power. The only thing that can compare to it is Getter Emperor and maybe Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Having Zero tank with a barrier Embryo's space-time cannon and then proceed to one shot him with a photon beam is extremley satisfyng.
I find heartwarming how the getter crew returns Koji the favour of stopping them from destroying everything in Alpha Gaiden. The Dynamic guys are the best!
It's still kind of troubling since Getter Team are over 20 years older than koji.

Also, the Alpha Gaiden thing didn't happen in this timeline. I'm just making a reference about how Koji stopped them from destroying the alpha numbers in Gaiden by matching Shin Getter output with his Mazinkaiser and how now that it is his robot the one who gets easily out of control, it's the getter team the ones who stopped him.
@@lenlimbo Yeah Koji is a teen soldier, but Hayato and Benki are at least in their 40s not to mention Hayato is the commander of an entire army, and Ryoma is at least in his mid 30s. Though Dino Empire never happened, all three members should be over 20 during moon wars which happened 10 years before Beginning of Armageddon. Regarding Alpha Gaiden, remember that Shin Getter in Armageddon don't go berserk like in the manga (that goes to Shin Dragon, as said Shin Getter was only designed as a companion piece to Shin Dragon), but Getter rays have the same property.
Shin Getter G from SRW T, once given the opportunity to go berserk and change further, might grow to surpass Zero.

So, in practice, how ridiculously broken is Zero and Emperor G? Are they just massively overstatted with amazing pilots and a 25% all damage boost like usual, or there's something beyond that?
ZERO has the highest damage output in the game and has low EN recovery. Kouji's ace bonus allows a 25% increase in damage after he hits 130 morale making him even more dangerous. Emperor G's attack output is around that of Shin Getter but Tetsuya's ace bonus turns Hot Blood into Soul, allowing him to be just as deadly. As pilots, Kouji's and Tetsuya's hit and dodge stats aren't that good but that can be overcomed with items.
What happens if you fully upgrade them? What bonus will they get?
I remember fully upgrading Turn A Gundam in Z2 Saisei makes it ridiculously broken because of high EN recharge, making Moonlight Butterfly basically a no-brainer to spam.
They both get an increase in armour by 300 and EN increase by 50 when fully upgraded.
If I know my SRWs, there are always plenty of items that give borderline OP energy regen anyway. But does it self repair?

The ZERO also has different animators for some of its attacks. The Rust Hurricane reminds me of the Arios dude, while the Photonic Beam looked like it was made by the Grungust and the Getter guy.
They wanted to leave something very clear: If you are stupid enough to pick a fight with Zero, make peace with your God, before another utterly decimates you.

How do they "defeat" Zero when he literally eats multiverses? He. Eats. Them. After his defeat in the manga, only then is the multiverse is restored. HE FUCKING ATE IT! Fuck I love Zero.
