    I’m new to learning about MQTT. As a matter of fact only heard about it first time ever yesterday as I work in Industrial Automations Control working on PLC’s and Upgrading PLC’s in the Industrial space as the Automations Control a lot of the processes. With IoT or rather for us in the industrial space IIoT there is a push to get more information out of the Automation Control System for OEM equipment and push it securely into the cloud where data analytics and metrics can be later applied to that massive amount of data. So I watched half a dozen videos on TH-cam and you sir have given me the most clearly concise as well easy explained explanation of what MQTT Protocol is as well with the Glass Board example. You just got me as a new subscriber!

    So well explained. Went in not knowing what MQTT was, and by the end of the video I had already applied the knowledge to improve automation on the home network.

    Pub/Sub is age-old messaging pattern. What does MQTT brings to it? That's what I would like to know

      Same. Cane here to zed if there is anything different compared to typical message broker systems . Doesnt seem like it

      They say its optimized for systems that interacts with clients in low bandwidth regions.

    So it is built on the IBM MQ Model. Been around for many years. But what does the Telemetry part do, apart from helping to send periodic data? Are the messages persistent? How do they survive lack of connectivity?

    • @TopTechTalent
      @TopTechTalent 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. thanks for the comment. I found the specific IBM pages for your questions!
      For the Telemetry part: www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/9.1?topic=overview-mq-telemetry
      For the persistence question - it depends on the quality of service you choose for a message: www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/8.0?topic=concepts-message-persistence
      And about lack of connectivity, A dropped connection is defined by the MQTT client calling the MqttCallback.ConnectionLost method: www.ibm.com/docs/en/ibm-mq/8.0?topic=troubleshooting-resolving-problem-mqtt-client-connection-dropped
      Hope that helps!!

    Nice short Video. But as you said it's PO model. I'm little sceptical, since client knows to whom to send the message. But over here, client doesn't care to whom the message is being sent. Since MQTT is the guy, who know to whom the message to be sent.

    is his shirt made mirrored left-to-right? I assume he's not writing backwards so the video must be mirrored but then the shirt has to be too...

      Edit: I came up with three clues below, but then saw this video referenced in some of the comments below proving it.
      th-cam.com/video/U7E_L4wCPTc/w-d-xo.html
      I'm pretty sure you are correct about the custom mirrored logo on his shirt. Here are some clues. The part on his hair is on his right. For most people this is on the left. The button hole flap on his shirt is on his right side. Most all men's shirts have the button hole flap on the left side. Women's are opposite. Second, his wedding ring is on his right ring finger. The convention is wedding finger on left hand. Just to check I googled "Peter Silva F5" and found this YT video where he is being interviewed. You can see he is wearing his wedding ring on his left hand. Look at: th-cam.com/video/jqt9M5WvQpE/w-d-xo.html
      Good call!

      its custom for shirt logos to be on the left, with shirt button holes on the left, button holes in this vid suggest its flipped with a reversed logo, which would be cheaper than a custom shirt with flipped button holes...
