It’s always nice to see another one of these on TH-cam. I have one myself but the motor only so I had to piece it together with parts that were as close to the original parts that would still fit
I saw your videos of yours with the different blades, I can't believe how fast yours goes. I have been trying to get this one to perform quieter and better, might attempt to put a different motor in it if i feel like it
@@BAFVintage yeah that's only because the smaller blades are less weight but I wouldn't run that fan regularly. Not designed for that even though it was advertised as such. That's cool that you're going to modify yours considering the condition it's in and the failed exhaust fan. I'd be interested to see how the changes work
@@nickandhizfanz I actually did some work on this one tonight after work and determined the little internal exhaust fan had actually cracked entirely in half, superglued it back together and it seems to work. Also took the opportunity to oil the bearings in the motor and the bearing of the flywheel and now it goes much faster (not as fast as yours) and is surprisingly slightly quieter. I now plan on painting the tarnished brass pieces with brass spraypaint and I'll probably do a video once this 'restoration' project is complete.

@@BAFVintage Damn, I’m glad the exhaust fan still works. There’s only so much you can do make that fan quiet. Would be happy to see an update for sure
6:32 Sound like racing motorcycle
One of the worst ceiling fans made in the '80s. They're interesting to us somehow!
