Yep! I use game OSTs for all my background music (including FM4, Enthusia Professional Racing, GTAVC, among others). My channel intro animation also uses the menu music from Burnout 3!
They operated out of a small single unit in Rochester. I could never work out how they produced so many different designs from such a small set-up. I remember seeing a line of Skoda Rapids outside in various states of dismantlement.
Good video, he seems to be a skilled coachbuilder/customiser, but probably best to keep him away from kit cars now. There doesn't seem to be much info about it, but he seemed to be involved in the build of the replica xk180's, but I'm not sure to what extent.
To be honest theres not too much information on any of his cars, but especially that XK180 project. I did accidentally miss out another Banham, the Redina kit car (a 356 replica with Ford KA lights, just as awful as it sounds), but that has a single advert scan in terms of total info about it
@@full-service-history I've heard about the 356 kit, but never new it had KA lights, It's one of those where it's so bad you wanna see it, like I heard about a capri with mk1 focus lights. I think that xk180 kit is owned by a South African company, but I'm not sure.
The Redina (KA 356) was meant to be a 'modern' version of the 356 kit iirc, but never made it to production That Capri-Focus hybrid rings a bell, I think I remember seeing pictures of that a long time ago
@@full-service-history It makes sense seem of these "modern" (old now of course) ford headlight swaps didn't work as they where alot bulkier, and integrated into the design than others of there generation such as the mk4 Golf and Corsa B

Yes, especially with marques like Westfield going bankrupt as recently as last year! I plan to make a video on the biggest kit car maker, Dutton, at some point - which will likely be my longest video yet due to the sheer number of projects and businesses Tim Dutton has owned or had a hand in 😄
@@full-service-history Yeah, the DBS convertible looks good. It's mainly the Metro kit cars era / TT lookalike. The RS200 was a real wasted chance for them. What was going on with the ride height aswell.
So the only question remaining, where is the ford tooling gone today ?
Probably scrapped, but I don't know for sure.
He sold it
You make great videos mate!
I recognize the background music, its forza motorsport 4 music lol

Agreed, Banham had a variety of models very rarely seen outside of huge kitcar marques like Dutton
Really interesting video and brand.

Yeah, the Corsa B lights were definitely put in to a few too many cars (Mk3 Reliant Robin comes to mind)
i had a banham x21 metro gti, it was awesome :)
That sounds very fun to drive, can I ask how people reacted to the styling and the car itself?

is that bgm forza motorsport 3? and your outro music I recognise but I can't put my finger on
edit, Burnout 3!
Both correct!
The last car has a very Jaguar style grille.
The music….
What about it?
@@full-service-history its wonderful
Kit cars were huge in the 1970s. Kids today have probably never even heard of a kit car.

I like the early convertibles and the XJ-SS (although I'd keep it stock if I had an XJ-S), but yes beyond that point they look pretty awful

I'm guessing since the Maestro engine had to fit under that tiny front bonnet, they had to raise the whole body up to fit it in
How many Banham Porsche 550 kits where made ? I've heard mixed reviews on the actual build quality ,
I don't know build numbers to be honest, but they seem to be one of the more common Banham models, which isnt saying much
