Mad respect for the optician. Those are called transitional lenses here in the USA. I have one too, helps when driving during the day and protects from direct sunlight and it adjusts at night or when inside a building. You will love them.

Marwa,visit the lions eye hospital in Nairobi when you get back to check what is growing.
Those glasses are cute for you my son, they're better than those heavy ones you normally wear. Marwa poverty is real, when l was young, l stumbled on maize stalk, after cutting maize for harvesting, that sharp stalk that remains pierced my right leg and it got so swollen and always had pus but since we didn't have money it just healed by itself but up till now it has a scar.

also find a eye surgeon to test the eye fully see if there is anything the can do, different doctors have different levels of experience and equipment. maybe go the USA, London, Australia and see someone you may be able to repair technology is advancing every year, please keep searching
MARWA AND ROCIO,MY INTAKE ON PLASTIC GLASS FRAME , AT FIRST IT TOO TIGHT, THEN AFTER A WHILE LOOSE ,YOU HAVE TO GO IN TO GET THEM TIGHTEN UP ,AND IF YOU DO CERTAIN CHORES AND SWEAT ON YOUR FACE YOUR GLASSES FALLING OFF. THANKING GOD FOR THIS EYE DOCTOR REALLY EXPLAINING EVERYTHING FOR US. The optometrist is fantastic! That visit would cost $300.00 to $800.00 or more in the states....the eye exam was professional and on point and needed. When in Malawi, let's support his business. Good host and really nice people....nice people exist!

Hi Marwa… Listen to the Optician about getting eye drops without preservatives. Also Opticians and Optometrists are not medical doctors (but we still call them so), just FYI for treatment purposes. When you can definitely go see an Ophthalmologist to check your eyes, if you haven’t done so before. Nuff respect for being so brave!

It was nice to see the kindness of this family to you. Marwa, when you go to the US or Europe why don't you visit an eye clinic to determine if they can fix the problem with your eye. You can definitely get a definitive answer. If you come to Atlanta, I will show you where the eye clinics are and you can schedule a visit. It may be cheaper in Europe though.
