she really does fit the character well because in an interview she explained how she thinks history is boring, so the premise of her character going around talking to all these history experts and asking the most outlandish non-sequitur questions and being completely uninterested in the responses is really fitting lmao.
Perhaps the greatest learning experience, mostly because we’re driven to look up some of her inferences, thus learning way more than we wanted to on topics we didn’t know we cared about.
This is my favourite reaction to the Philomena Cunk show because you just watch it and laugh without stopping and starting the video and making some inane remark that most Americans seems to do all the time.
It's all those tiny things which add the spice such as the unprofessional waving to camera from a train, which camera crews even tell the public not to do, to the mixing up of metaphors such as to stand at the fork of a crossroad where the fork is usually where a road splits into two.
The theme for "Brushstrokes" is performed by Dexy's Midnight Runners - famous for their song "Come on Eileen" It wasn't that popular here in Australia but I watched it all
It's 2024,and I have just seen your reaction to Clunk on Britain. I have watched reactions to lots of stuff for the last 4 years plus from you guys in the states and I have got to say this reaction of yours has got to be the best by far. You cracked me up 😂. Your laughter is infectious. I hope you reacted to more of this brilliant show. Have just subscribed, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧
I love the fact that when this first aired the BBC got legit complaints from people saying "The host is terrible!" 'cause they didn't know it was satire lol
There is a lot of this that clearly will go over your head as they are purely British/culture/prejudice references. "Golden Wonder" is a brand of crisps (aka potato chips), Colchester is a city in Essex (Essex having a reputation for particular 'girls' and boys iykwim?). There are many more digs at people & places that Brits definitely understand but you won't!
This is typical british humour. Nothing we like better than the ridiculous and puncturing the pompous, exalted, and elitist. Diane Morgan is a brilliant actress.
Just to let you know, while the experts know it’s a satire, they don’t know what questions ‘Philomena’ will ask.
Her deadpan delivery while she says the most absurd things is gold!
I don't think anyone could play this part but Diane Morgan. She's priceless. ✌️❤️🇬🇧
if the price is a can of own brand beans
@@TheRedPeril is that Sainsburys or Tesco own brand?

Your laughter is infectious. I'm laughing at your laughter. Being British I've been laughing at Philomena for the last five years or so.
TRUE😂😂😂😂😂😂 GREAT LAUGH.😅😅😅😅😅
You have to admire the courage of the many experts who agreed to appear on the show.
" Romans took the last pens with them "......😂😂😂😂😂😂

Smashing!!
The Vikings lost their horns!
You reacted exactly how I did when I came across Philomena
13:12 ish, that professor nearly lost it, she just about held it together.
There is a woman named Lucy Worsley who I swear is who Philomena Cunk is parodying.
I am glad you survived
