"The Treasure Longing to Be Known" with Rev. Lesia

In this week’s talk, Rev. Lesia invites us on a journey of rediscovery, guided by the timeless wisdom that “God is the Treasure longing to be known” (Sufi Wisdom). We explore the incredible power of expression, and how when we truly align with the Divine, we not only express but uncover the infinite creativity, resilience, and love that is our birthright.
Drawing from the profound teachings of Ernest Holmes, Rev. Lesia explains that we live surrounded by Infinite Possibility, which is Goodness, Life, Law, and Reason. This Divine energy expresses through us, becoming more fully conscious of its own being as it flows into our lives. In the process, it automatically becomes the law of our lives. Holmes reminds us that we cannot fight the Universe-It is a force that flows in its own course, and our role is to align with it, rather than resist.
The talk takes a deep dive into the process of Soul Excavation, the mindful and sometimes messy work of unearthing the limiting beliefs that keep us stuck. Through this inner work, we rediscover the treasure of who we truly are-beings of infinite potential, waiting to be fully realized. Rev. Lesia shares how this personal transformation is not about rushing the process but honoring the natural rhythm of each soul's unfolding, as Hazrat Inayat Khan so beautifully reminds us, “Every soul evolves in its own time.”
We also explore the contrast between living with open eyes and heart versus wandering through life unaware of the beauty and opportunities that surround us. Whether we move through life like a “drunken fool” or with full spiritual awareness, we will still arrive at the same destination-but the journey itself will look vastly different. The choice is ours: Will we walk with sympathy, trust, and openness, or remain asleep to the fullness of our experience?
In the end, Rev. Lesia shares a powerful practice from Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements: Being impeccable with your word. This means using our energy in the direction of truth and love for ourselves, aligning with our highest purpose and the Divine expression that is within us. As Ruiz teaches, "Being impeccable with your word is the correct use of your energy."
We close with the reminder to claim our truth: “I am the love of my life.”
