Location definitely plays a factor in the pain. Most of mine didn't hurt, but I got one on the side of my foot touched up and holy hell. Touch ups hurt way more than the first time. I have a matching one with my best friend as well.

I have a little bumble bee on my hip, part of the footprints poem on the side of my foot, a framed moon and it's reflection in the ocean on my thigh, a quote with a carnation and four stars on my side, and a quote from the children's book I'll Love You Forever on my shoulder that goes along with my mom's tattoo. I definitely want more in the future, including book related ones. I'd love to get a tattoo that incorporates a lot of book spines so that through the years I can add the titles of books I fall in love with.
in the future (hopefully) I would like a small, thin, cursive L with two small dashes beneath them. the L will represent my youngest brother Levi and the two small dashes are actually an M in Morse code to represent my younger brother Morrissey.

It's part of a larger Great Gatsby quote: "I was within and without. simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life". It honestly didn't hurt that bad - I'm the same as you in that I actually liked the pain haha. And I haven't regretted it for a day and it's been almost 9 months now! :)

I have two, an amaryllis on my shoulder and a quote from Anne of Green Gables on my ribs (it's my favourite book), "Isn't it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it yet...". I will say that the ribs was way more painful than the shoulder, my artist said it is related with how much fat there is in the area/ how close to the bone it is.

If you have low pain tolerance get one on your leg calf, or bicep. It's not a huge amount of pain, more like a small amount of pain for a long period of time. Also, a small one would be like 20 minutes :)

+wallflowerstories Thank you!! I think the thigh is one of the least painful places, like I said the Raven didn't hurt. The Stag hurt, but I think that was because I was swollen. So it will depend on what you're getting. I would say go for it. I think you'll appreciate it so much more knowing got through one of your phobias. Plus I think the pain of a tattoo is half the fun.
Liquid bandage?? My tattoo artist only sanitizes it and never covers mine. Just gotta keep it clean, slightly moist and let it breathe. I have a bunch, 2 are Watchmen and 1 is HP. My question is how much did they cost? I hate how expensive they can be.

Bepanthen cream is what I use after I get a tattoo and stops the tattoo from becoming too itchy when it is healing.

cool tattoos, you should check out my tattoo artist. he's name is Wayne Fredrickson and works in yucaipa. He's a strict vegan, everything he uses is 100%vegan and the shop is so freaking sanitary. He's so well knowledge In his field, you can tell he loves what he does.
