@@woodstream6137 Yeah, he tilted his head a few times during the groom, so I think the cameraman was trying to distract him at moments 😊. This dog is too adorable 😊
Yeah, he's a working breed shepherd rather than a show shepherd. It's sad that the "show breed" has to have horrendous back and hip issues because that's what stupid people view as "beautiful".
I detest show "standards". I love the new, well, breed of breeders who are going against their kennel clubs and breeding health back in. I also cannot abide people who dock a dog's tail for "beauty". It's worse than cutting a human's tongue out! It's different for medical reasons of course, but I would never forgive anyone I knew who'd want to do it for the look. It's illegal to dock a dog in my country (unless it's a vet doing it, and many won't do it for the wrong reason), but that's only a relatively recent law. Leave their tails alone! Btw, Dozer is a stunner! ❤
@@y_fam_goeglyd One of my friends got a Rottweiler puppy early last year. Until this little guy, I'd never seen a Rottie with an intact tail in person. He carries it like a little flag, curving up over his back. It reduces the "scary intimidating big dog" factor by a lot when that massive head and engine-block chest have a wildly wagging curly-doo tail behind 'em :D (That said, he has a bad habit. Despite being alarmingly tall at the shoulder, he keeps wanting to go under things--such as tables and people--and the tail will get you right where you don't wanna be got :D)
@@redwitch12 yeah, every single rottweiler i have met wants to tunnel under things, not realizing how massive and strong they are, so they just flip over the majority of things XD
Loved how he wasn't really OK with his nails being cut, but would calm down when he understood he wasn't being hurt. Makes me wonder if someone caught his quick at some point.
Some dogs just really don’t like their paws touched. Many don’t, actually. My dog was very sweet and didn’t mind you touching any part of her, but touch her paws and she’d try to take them from you. If you didn’t stop, she would snap at you.
My family's pitbull would politely pull her paws from you, tuck them under herself, and then give the most apologetic expression like, "I am terribly sorry...I'm not trying to be rude, but...could you please not touch my paws? Please? 🥺") I had unfortunately gotten her quicks a time or two when cutting her nails, but she has always hated having her paws touched regardless (and her hate of having them touched is how I accidentally cut too low). I tried using a PediPaws but it took too long and the grinding sound scared her. Going to the vet was the best time for them to be clipped because she became a stone the moment she walked through the door, allowing the vet/vet techs to do anything they needed with no resistence.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley. Same here. We can’t do it, and have scars to prove it, and it’s a toy poodle with big dog complex. (Law requires that dogs have annual rabies vaccine). I have an Irish Setter who is a sweet heart. But he has always hated having his paws touched. We are able to keep his back nails short from frequent walks but not always his front nails….and his dew claws. I can get them, one or two at a time, with help from my daughters, who keep him distracted with treats.
My German Shepherd doesn’t care for his nails being clipped either and I have never once clipped the quick. Some dogs just don’t like their paws touched
My Dozer was an Akita-Chow and he was suuuuuch a floof ball. His brother Ranger was a German Shepherd-Chow and also a mountain of fur. This made me miss them so much. It's been 13 years since I lost my Dozer and I still miss him. His ashes are in a beautiful ceramic egg that sits on my book shelf.
I've had two German Shepherds and both were absolutely incredibly awesome babies. Soooooo smart. They don't care if you're sitting in their recliner, they'll share....on your lap. Beautiful Dozer is just gorgeous.
I love watching you groom shepherds, as a shepherd owner, because so many others seem so afraid of them while personally I find them to be the goofiest breed ever
Don’t you just love a clever doggo. My dog loves the groomers, he’s a lab so snacks 😂 when he comes home we have to watch him do a catwalk up the hall so we can admire how good he looks. ❤
Such a beautiful creature! I love how he kisses her at 2:02, despite everything. My long-hair GSD is just like that, and HATES having his nails done. But endures it... The best breed!
I often wonder how you can keep from petting them once you are done and just giving them a hug because they are so cute. Then I remember, you just finished “petting” them for an hour when you were grooming them. So you got your fill. He’s gorgeous!
We are officially dog LOVER twins, you always end up falling in love with the exact ones I fall in love with from a far. We just adore the same breeds evidently.
Good luck with the fundraiser. I know it will be a totally awesome event. I’d love to hear the music that plays sometimes with the dog running around after grooming. I totally love it. Stephanie
I've never seen a long-haired German Shepard before. They are beautiful. Vanessa- I give you a lot of credit for cutting the nails of a doggo or catty who won't stay still. I would be terrified that I would cut them. You are brilliant at what you do. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
Pet envy can be strong. I wonder if our pets want to steal other pets humans?
I mean hey Opposite to opposite cancels out
My goldie certainly would have no issue having a menagerie of humans to pet and pamper him.
This is true. Many pets glom onto visiting humans. You can find tales of this across the internet.
Probably!
My dog would trade me for anyone with food in their hand 😑
Sorry, Dozer ran away when I had my back turned. In other news, check out this cool dog I recently found. I think I'm going to call him Dozer.

The way dozer cocks his head from left to right is just too cute!! Such a smart doggo
Cameraman probably distracting him 😊
The signature German Shepherd head cocking 😄
@@woodstream6137 Yeah, he tilted his head a few times during the groom, so I think the cameraman was trying to distract him at moments 😊. This dog is too adorable 😊
Vanessa has admitted to using treats or other distractions deliberately to get the head tilt ;)
Its the classic german shepherd head tilt. Basically the reason why german shepherds can get away with anything with their owners
How LOVELY to see a Shepherd with a proper not extreme sloped back - tremendous responsible breeding for dog health there. Dozer is gorgeous.

Long haired sheppards have beautiful coats.
I completely understand your sentiment. Dozer is a BEAUTIFUL German Shepherd. Good boy, Dozer!
That head tilt at the end
That is a response to sounds. Dogs hear different than humans because of shape of their ears. They tip their head to pickup sound echoes.
@ 3.48 Vanessa: "Stop donkey-kicking!"
Dozer: (stops donkey-kicking)
smart dog!
Missed oportunity to say dong-kicking 😂😂
Gorgeous creature. I love German shepherds.
I once had a German Sheppard that was so freaking smart she was like another human being...I never felt alone with her. I miss her so much.
I think dozer liked the cameraman too. He kept giving him the cutest looks😊
As someone who works at a dog daycare, I understand that sentiment.
Dozer is so cute, that doing the shepherd head tilt is a cuteness overload.
😍
The shepherd head tilt always makes my heart melt.
Our long-haired German Shepherd passed away at the age of 11. It has been 2 years now & we still miss him. So smart & handsome.
He's a looker for sure. He clearly doesn't love grooming but he seemed pretty ok with it for the most part. He really looked great after the grooming!

Our Dozer was a bloodhound. We lost him about a year and a half ago. It was nice to hear the name again.
aww, he's a cutie!!! was hoping for a playdate with Lupa at the end 😅
Dozer is stunning and has a great temperament!
Dozer's a handsome, fluffy boy and a sweet pup. Love his adorable head tilts😊
Dozer is a very well behaved Shepard and also gorgeous. Kudos to his owners for socializing him and getting him used to grooming.
His face is so adorable!! Cant resist!
He's gorgeous 😍! I love German Shepards. I was up bought with them! So loyal and loving . Great with children, fantastic family pets! ❤❤😊😊😊
What a very huggable face...

My favorite part of every groom is when you tidy up the Grinch feet! 😍
What a good boy ❤ you hardly ever see a dog let someone touch it's tail without having a reaction to it.

If there was a perfect dog for me it would be this puppy.

GSD's are the best family pets you can have, absolutely love these dogs ❤❤
Total German Shepard energy. Doesn't look to you for comfort. Doesn't show any fear. You're just sniffable wallpaper. He's a very good boy.
You steal him from them, then I'm gonna steal him from you !!! The gorgeous adorable sweet boi ❤❤❤

Such a sweet guy. Just needs to learn that if he doesn’t resist, the paws are done sooner. ❤
He’s extremely handsome!
He is so beautiful.
He is wonderful ❤❤❤
Dozer is just STUNNINGLY HANDSOME.....Vanessa, certainly one of the most beautiful you've shown to us recently.....and a good boy too
The owners have done a great job with this chap. Even when he was unhappy no growling or snapping. Well brought up young man.
My Shepsky looks just like him. I get compliments on how beautiful he is all the time
My GOSH he's adorable.
1:49 - don't tell me Dozer isn't a professional model!
Such a beautiful boy
I feel you. There’s a lot of beautiful dogs in my neighborhood who I think of snatching, but I settle for cuddles when I see them out and about.
Dozer is definitely the Star of the show 😍 What a well behaved good boy x

Wow he’s so well behaved!! Good job parents!!
The main thing I love about your channel is seeing such incredible love for the animals you groom.
Omg he is beyond stunning 😍😍😍
I've had them for 32 years and they're the best breed in the world. Love them so much 🐕🦺🐾💙🩷💙🩷
What a stunner!
Dozer is not into pedicures. I loved how he turned his head side to side at the end so cute. Beautiful dog ,great groomer.♥️🤩🐾
What a beauty.

Absolutely beautiful dog
Hi 👋🏻
He's a gorgeous prince ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dozer, what a handsome fellow. You show confidence when trimming his nails. Donkey kicking!
Vanessa, I can see why you'd want to keep such a well behaved and gorgeous Shepherd.
What a beautiful dog! A part of me also envies the owners.
He's beautiful! I love when he tilts his head like hey what are you doing?
He's only a year old and already that big? Yikes! Aw, such a sweet face. And I guess I never noticed GSs have floofy tails like that.
