I know why, it is because they promised her to look after her and love her forever. He signed a contract when he married her and I do not think he should leave his choice. You cannot promise a girl that you will look after her forever and dump her. She held up her side of the bargain of not working and being a housewife, he has no way out. She can take him to court and force him to pay for her RENT, GROCERIES, CLOTHES, BILLS, etc, and leave him with NOTHING! but couchsurfing for the rest of his life. He can stay with her!
