It’s not one of the older songs. We had mentioned before that BTS never stopped making this kind of music. They always have a variety of music on their albums. This version had more English. Steve Aoki has been a long time supporter of BTS. He even featured in Suga’s documentary on Disney. Tks guys.

Mic Drop is BTS' response to their haters with a little flexing on the side spitting facts...lol. with Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" & "sue it". I recommend you check their latest live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last October where it was attended by 70k live audience and was livestreamed by over 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from time to time. You will feel the same energy. 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Mic drop was released as an inspiration to Barack Obama's last day as President of US when he finished his last speech by dropping the mic. It was released as a song in their 2017 album Love Yourself - Her. This song primarily about various achievements of BTS through their journey as an artists and are giving the haters this message that stop being haters in every small matters which are unnecessary and live a good life loving themselves first before hating others. Also this format is lot better than the previous format as this has a clearer screening and better sounding of your conversation during reactions.
@@TripTipsPodcastit wasn’t a tribute, RM was just inspired by a speech where barack obama said “obama out” and dropped the mic at the end. Really sucks how people just spread misinformation.
"Mic mic bungee" is pretty much saying passing the mic before they drop it - After J-Hope's rap part, he passes the mic to Suga. Think of a bungee chord, or when you go bungee jumping, the chord pulls you back up after a drop/jump and not really hitting the floor or ground.
Mic Drop came out in 2018 on Love Yourself: Her album. At that time, ARMY was bigger than before which made BTS even more popular. As a result, BTS has been winning many awards from other countries besides Korea. The song is a flex towards the haters that said they'll never win as many awards as their groups. The Steve Aoki remix came a little bit after the original version was released (original is in all Korean whereas the remix has a lot of English in it). I remember back at that time, BTS was performing at the summer series that Jimmy Kimmel Show was promoting. That live recording of performances was the first time BTS performed the Steve Aoki remix of Mic Drop. Seeing the fancams, you can hear army thrown off a little with the fanchants because that the first time they heard the remix (which wasn't released yet) so they cheered a lot instead.
BTS never stopped doing this kind of music, they just simply explored different genres. MIC Drop is at the height of their career already 5 years after their debut. This is in the same album as "DNA".
This song was part of their Love Yourself Trilogy albums. It was released in Sept 2017 for their album Love Yourself:Her. You were right, this song is dedicated to all their haters out there. It was actually also inspired by Barack Obama's mic drop at his White House correspondents dinner in 2016.
I confess I first listened to the korean version, without Aoki and I didn't like this version (now I like it), too much English I thought. Their live performances are awesome! I'm sure you'll love them! (at Busan concert it was the last one)

in my understanding mic bungee - is like your are using mic (saying/sing someth), then me - like bungee - going down then come back. or an interview - you - then me. like words ping pong
Love the video. Y'all should watch Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala - Agust D (Suga of BTS). It is a Trilogy. Spans from first album to his current one. If you do one at a time start with Daechwita. Army will watch all three though. This will give you a different perspective of Suga, and their music is not just love, haters they go so much deeper than that. Y'all have just started down the rabbit hole. Also, either on your own time or as a react video check out his recent concert. I would do the mv first as a reaction before the concert. Then there are each of the members solo projects. JHope for me was one of the more shocking in comparison to his personality /role in BTS. Jhope: More and Arson. Also, mv then live performance. Also, watch the making of mv mentioned. Of course all of the members are amazing individually, To my knowledge RM and August D had the first albums, others did solo work till recently. Then JHope, then RM came in again, then Jimin, August D/Sug again a then Jk (solo but will release album soon ) or V just this month. So maybe technically I guess V is before JK for album. Of course Jin released a song with Coldplay before he went into the military. Same with JHope with J Cole. BTS is diverse in their music as well, not all about love and haters. Enjoy the ride! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Oh yes he said this song has given him a billion followers. They use his track when they perform…this song is way after they met up with “real” rappers..there’s a video. They said things about wearing makeup like girls and selling out to become Idols! They performed this song on Ellen and as I’ve mentioned before, SNL Emma Stone host. RM became the leader so that the group could concentrate on practicing and performing. PD has a production career of his own working with US rappers…Snoop Dog…he knows the KPop industry inside and out and tried put something together no one had thought of. Healing souls through entertainment and music, created his own label BIGHIT with only one group. it worked. Haters came from everywhere. Even now the guys receive death threats. RM and Jimin especially. The guys were 4 yrs into their relationship with the world and like all of the ARMY’s are telling you each era is a whole new genre. They bang stuff out and haters get left in the dust. We are still on strike working on my area Video game voice over work so I can’t watch your live stuff but y’all are doing a great job!
Finally, you were able to improve your videos. This is what I am talking about when I can't read the cc because it's so tiny. Hope you do the same with The Rise of Bangtan series. Now I am subscribing again.
Thanks for the feedback and for your support. We tried out some new recording software this week and recorded one week worth of songs. Unfortunately the software isn’t as good as we had hoped for so those videos aren’t the best quality unfortunately. But we’re on a huge time crunch to get the content out so we have to use them. We just switched to a better software today that works much better. We’re still having some audio issues but we’re working on getting them resolved. We’re hoping by Christmas we can get a sound mixing board to improve our audio. The channel is a never ending work in progress. But we’re trying to make it better for our viewers with each new video we put out. Thanks for hanging in there with us 😊
It's about dropping the Mic after making a huge point (eg O'bama did a very impressive Mic Drop after giving a speech) as this is a diss track to All their haters so Mic Drop in other words don't bother we are finished with you all. They have a number of Diss Tracks aim at general haters and haters who were their fellow Rappers in the underground Hip Hop scene. Even at the end they are saying 'Don't bother to apologise' in other words we are finished with you we don't have to prove anything any more.Just go look at all the awards we have when you haven't a single award.
@@TripTipsPodcastThey draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. Books they read, places they visit (RM’s Still Life was inspired by a set of paintings at a museum), movies they have watched, conversations with one another, etc.
@DAN&JReacts, The original Mic Drop is with the rapper Desiigner personally not my favorite.! this one I like and it is a shorter version with Steve Aoki. BTS did perform this on Saturday night live when they were the musical guest and it was the longer version with a bigger dance break they also did Boy with Luv. Steve Aoki I don’t know if he does this song at the concerts since I haven’t been to a Steve Aoki concert in several years before the pandemic? But I do know that he did a TH-cam special for the 1 billionth views for the Mic Drop song mixed in with The Truth Untold and Wasted On Me, all songs that Steve Aoki did with BTS. Sorry I don’t have the link to this but can find it , you can look it up on TH-cam and put in my drop 1 billion views Steve Aoki and it should come up right away !? Nice reaction I love it you got a new mic you got a new format coming up , can’t wait to see how everything’s gonna come together💜👍🙏🏼

the song is for haters, right, it was in 2017 - when a lot of people were commenting racist words about them, their look, and in general hating comments openly. this song was inspired by the speech ending of Barack Obama - when he dropped his mic after his speech
Haters never really stopped sh**ting on BTS.🤔 But I understand where your question is coming from. I know RM got the inspiration for naming the song "Mic drop" after Pres. Obama's mic drop.
Thank you, not intending to be insulting but BTS is so much prettier than you two so making their share bigger is appreciated. Checked with google Mic Drop released in 2018.

Mic bunge is a Mic that has a cord attached (not a cordless mic) and can throw and catch the mic using cord like a bunge cord. This remix is not much different than the original one and Steve uses this song in his event all the time.
😂 we have been so busy in KPOP. We have shifted focus and have really gotten into KPOP recently and created a big fan base around it. We might do another Taylor reaction soon.
Mic Drop was released in 2017 under the first Love Yourself Album: Her. 2017 was the era of BTS when they started their stadium-concert tour in US, UK, France and won their first Billboard Award for the Social Media Artist. Mic Drop was inspired from the speech of Barrack Obama in one of his state dinner in 2016. While BTS started to broaden its musical genre from hiphop to pop-music in 2015 when they released I Need You, it would go back to its hiphop roots from time to time. Yet, you can hear that Mic Drop sounds like a fusion of hiphop and rock music.
The microphone sounds muffled. Like you are far away or in a bubble. Sorry! Just honestly answering your question 🙂the screen is better cos the video is too small usually. We can see your reaction just fine this way as well as seeing the video much better. The video is wayyy to small the other way. Most people I know will purposely click off reactor videos where the reactor makes themselves bigger than the video cos they want to see both clearly. This is also seen as disrespectful to the artist although it is a reaction video. Just saying the truth. We want to see every handsome man in the video including yourselves so the double screen like this is perfect!!😘
We really appreciate your feedback and comments. As for the microphone we know it sucks. We’re working with some out outdated equipment but we have a GoFundMe page setup to raise money to get a new computer and a sound board so we can edit faster and have better quality sound. Trust me we’re trying our best with what we have to make this channel work. It will continue to improve over time. Thanks again for your input, patience and support 👍👍

Yes we are. Finishing up rise of bangtan first we are releasing chapter 9 on Monday. So we are almost halfway done
in my understanding mic bungee - is like your are using mic (saying/sing someth), then me - like bungee - going down then come back. or an interview - you - then me. like words ping pong
Thanks for explaining

Glad you enjoyed ❤️
Hello 💜🇧🇷💜 I like this format. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜thanks!!!!💜💜💜💜
Thanks for letting us know 💜💜💜💜💜
Love the video.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Already did all those. In the BTS playlist. 🙏💜😊
Thank you for the support💜
If you want to hear BTS more recent songs that sound like mic drop i have a list : ugh, respect, outro tear, dis-ease
We did the first 3
Great songs
2/3 MV + 1/3 U
Thanks for hanging in there with us 😊
@@TripTipsPodcast Thank you. I really love your reactions. As a senior citizen it is my favorite past time while doing some crochet.
@@remediosliwanen6184 so happens to hear you’re enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching and for your support 😊❤️😊❤️
Hi, I like the new format. And I really like you.
Thank you 🙏 ❤️
Can you also react to bts proof live...watching from Philippines 🇵🇭 💜 💕
Of course 💜
Mic Mic Bungee = Mic Drop
I see. Thanks 🙏
I saw the speech but I didn’t know BTS made this song as a tribute. Thats so cool.

We are excited about the new mic and format. Hope everyone likes it 😊
creo que en cada video viene la fecha cuando están en su pagina oficial de TH-cam BANGTAN
Thanks 🙏
Great reaction love the new format great job? I suggest check out the year MV or song was released maybe before you react plus the amounts of views on youtube of most of BTS songs are insane💜
We’ll work on that thanks 😊
I believe the mic mic bungee part is referencing dropping the mic and the next rapper picking is up by the cord like a bungee cord
I see
Bunge like bungee jumping. The microphone goes down and up and down again and up,…..
Oh I see😊
Thanks guys for this 💜
Our pleasure 💜
This song got so many people in industry offended💀
👍👍
Titled micdrop because BTS RM while watching news he saw ex president Obama drop his mic, thats how MICDROP got its title...( RM did mentioned this..)
Cool fact thanks for sharing 👍
the song is for haters, right, it was in 2017 - when a lot of people were commenting racist words about them, their look, and in general hating comments openly. this song was inspired by the speech ending of Barack Obama - when he dropped his mic after his speech
That’s so cool
Jungkook's new single ft Jack Harlow Is out tomorrow. Don't miss it.
Thanks we’ll check it out 👍
I like this shot better.
Thanks for letting us know
jimin defying gravity please
Haters never really stopped sh**ting on BTS.🤔 But I understand where your question is coming from. I know RM got the inspiration for naming the song "Mic drop" after Pres. Obama's mic drop.
Thanks 😊
Hi guys, you have to show the intro, that way you wont get copy right clames from HYBE. ✌💜
Ok thanks!
Thank you, not intending to be insulting but BTS is so much prettier than you two so making their share bigger is appreciated.
Checked with google Mic Drop released in 2018.
I mean we can’t compete with them. Plus I can’t afford make up😂
judy really!, tht aint how army behave, bts will be disappointed. they dnt teach us to be this nasty. if someone is ignorant educate them but dnt be like the pple tht army is protecting bts from
@@iamarmytinyctzentheb Judy me and my dad are going to cry ourselves to sleep tonight because we are not prettier than BTS 😢🤣
@@TripTipsPodcast I thought you guys had a sense of humour, and you do. I was surprised at the other person's response saying I was being nasty, and I wasn't trying to educate you. All very odd, but if I offended you then I apologise, didnot want to hurt your feelings. BTS are way prettier than all of us.
@@judyburgess3357 we do and we understand your sense of humor. We get it and responded with sarcasm.
Thanks for joking with us 😂
Mic bunge is a Mic that has a cord attached (not a cordless mic) and can throw and catch the mic using cord like a bunge cord. This remix is not much different than the original one and Steve uses this song in his event all the time.
Thanks for explaining
Came out Aug 2018, they were still getting hate because they were successful despite the sabotage
I see. Thanks for sharing
bts said no to green screen please
Y'all get into the KPOP but I'm still waiting for "My Tears Ricochet" by Taylor swift
😂 we have been so busy in KPOP. We have shifted focus and have really gotten into KPOP recently and created a big fan base around it. We might do another Taylor reaction soon.
Steve is Japanese/American.
Thanks for letting us know
Mic Drop was released in 2017 under the first Love Yourself Album: Her.
That’s awesome.
Isn't Jesus Asian? 😅 Loved this reaction 💜
😊
Mic Drop isn’t from their early days. It’s from 2017/18
Oh okay. Thanks for sharing
To be fair, he didn't say he thought the song was from the beginning days, he said that this was "like their beginning days", in terms of their street hip-hop clothing and the video style
