Wow, this looks so different from the promo photos and CP website! I was super excited about it, reminded me of Urban Decay Naked Honey, but now I'm underwhelmed.
Golden Hour feels like a herald to warm neutrals becoming trendy again, haha. The looks I'd want to make with it would probably be super similar to some of the looks I could make with the Lust For Dusk palette, which has a color story more up my alley 😊 Your videos have been so vital in having a more thoughtfully curated Colourpop eyeshadow collection 💛 love your face (and your videos), Amanda! The thing I took most from this is that I want to wear more mustard yellow brown eyeshadow, thanks for reminding me of how much I love shades like that😍
As someone w a yellow undertone, this isn't a normal neutral palette bc most warm palettes in every brand, luxury to drugstore, are warm in only an orange way (yellow+red). Warmth can be added w just yellow, which is what I prefer. I was hoping for a comparison to some of my fav palettes: CP C-3PO (yellow, mustard, gold) and Wanna Bee (yellow, orange). But thanks for the exhaustive comparisons u did do. It just confirms that all those other palettes are too orange for me. 😂 Golden Hour is like a combo of C-3PO and Wanna Bee, but after seeing Golden Hour at Ulta, I prefer the darker shades of C-3PO and Wanna Bee. U also get a nice mirror in C-3PO and its quality in mattes and shimmers is better than Golden Hour's. However, that Golden Waves shade in person is stunning. It sparkles w diff reflects almost like it has holograhic glitter. That would be a good sub for the glitter in Wanna Bee, Oh Beehive, bc that shade is the only shade I don't like at all in that palette (I threw it in the trash). Thanks so much for the review!! I agree with liking a more opaque eye shadow formula because they show up better on me.The Good As Gold swatches look more like my style. Thanks so much for the swatches and comparisons, they really help me with my buying decisions!

I like the color story and size of this palette. I have made myself swear off the extra large palettes because I can't store them properly. I might consider it. I'm also still on the Going Coconuts consideration train because my Nude Mood palette is past its prime and there are two very deep shimmer shades I never even use. 😘

I've been waiting for a golden pallette. Colorpop did a lot of yellows and browns previously but not quite gold.

As an olive girlie, I am into the yellow leaning mattes. Everything else from colourpop leans pink or orange. I will pick it up on sale at some point.

The 3 darker shades at your wrist seem to be the same in many of the comparison palettes. Overall, there are a lot of similarities.
