When you said different culture I started to laugh. I live in Asia but I'm from Europe. He's a local so the cultural difference is huge. Eventhough I speak the language there's still a barrier. Also we have a customer-employee relationship which is also a barrier in Asia.
I've noticed the way he looks at me which clearly shows he's attracted. Since I look very European, every time I go out where he works, guys come and talk to me (it even became an inside joke with the manager how my friends and I are popular). He's definitely on the shy side. I've made moves that I thought were obvious but it doesn't seem like he picked up on them.
