The day before he died, Norm sent Adam a message saying, “we are starting the Podcast back up & you are getting a huge raise!” That was Norm’s final troll to Adam. At Norm’s funeral, Adam said, “I loved Norm so much, that I’m not even mad at him even though the first thing on my Wikipedia page says, ‘Adam Eget is a holocaust denier.’”
This show was so funny, Norm gave absolutely no shits and Adam was the perfect foil for him. It was all on TH-cam but then Netflix commissioned a new series and all the old full episodes were taken down so there’s only clips now I believe.
The joke between Norm and Adam is that Norm writes all the stuff that Adam reads, and then Norm acts horrified by what Adam says. The same with the Holocaust stuff, Norm is just putting words into Adam's mouth.
These clips are all from the norm macdonald live TH-cam video podcast. It's my favorite thing that norm did. Most of the episodes have been taken down for obvious reasons. Norm's podcast was a running segment of Absurdist Comedy but what made Norm special was his deadpan delivery and even when the joke didn't hit he would see it through. Most of the time the Guests understood the inside joke but others were just as bewildered. Obviously Jerry Seinfeld, Roseanne, Tom Green, and Dave Osborne understood his comic genius. Norm first started in standup and was a writer for the Roseanne show. His book follows the same kind of Absurd and crude humor throughout. There is really no one like Norm not afraid to fail. Adam Eget is the unrecognized hero in all these. Sometimes the guests weren't completely sure that all of it was just trolling/joking, and Adam always played his role and took all the heat. Norm was the best at trolling, theres not even a close 2nd. Its all a bit. Norm is absolute genius…
It's comedy, it can't go too far, it can only be funny or not funny.
The roman numeral C used to be in the upper left corner of 100 dollar bills.
Norm was wrinkling his nose at Adam, he was trolling him by saying that Adam called the movie Shoah a "Fantasy." Shoah is about the holocaust (Treblinka was a concentration camp). More Norm trolling in Norm style, he says that and wrinkles his nose and pauses, looking at Adam in silence to put the spotlight and discomfort on him, so he has to deny it lol.
We're 5:00 in and you missed almost all of the jokes
Just just loves to hear her voice.
What a beautiful woman. And she's a Norm fan, too! That is marriage material right there. 😉
Cringe comment. She didn't even allowed anything to land with her constant blabbering...
Norm and the rest of the crew would write the most offensive jokes they could think of.
The thing about Norm is that he made jokes like that way more because of people like you, than because of us, who get it.. ;D
You might find this bewildering, but I find this compilation to be one of the funniest things on TH-cam. The recurring "Adam is an antisemite and holocaust denier" bit was hilarious.
4:50 "Is Seinfeld jewish?"
Young lady, Seinfeld is THE Jew.
Norm was the best at trolling, theres not even a close 2nd. Its all a bit. He loved to say outlandish things to get people reaction, and when other people said something to the same effect, he would play it off like it wasn't cool that they said it. Adam took it like a champ too. Norm was also very smart and played it off like he didn't know a lot of things cause in his words, nobody likes a smart guy... Tom Green btw.
Gilbert was perfect for Norm's horseshit. So was Seinfeld. The uninitiated shouldn't watch this running bit, though.
Gilbert Godfrey Holliwood Squares is a pretty good clip
