Nice! Yeah some people like Nama. It's different when you've owned both juicers and have been testing them for awhile. At first I liked the Nama but after awhile I started to get annoyed by these small quirks and clean up time on the Hurom H400 always felt much faster. Nama's a good pick but I think the H400 has the edge
Mine arrived August 8th 2024 and IMMEDIATELY used it and was disappointed because it didn't get as much juice from the veggies as my old school juicer did and I was going to send it back the next day for a refund. I didn't see a big difference BUT my friend suggested that I try again with fresher veggies, so the next morning I went to the grocery store and bought new veggies and only washed the ones I was going to juice right then and OMG, this thing is AMAZING. The trick is to only wash the veggies that you intend to use right then because they will start dehydrating sooner and you won't get no where near as much juice. I used the same amt of veggies that I normally do with my other juicer and I got 1/4 more than normal. The pulp IS TOTALLY dry. The clean up was about the same as the regular juicer. I give this an A+.
I just got the Nama j2 about 3 weeks ago, and I really expected something better. 1. it feels chip, and fragil, chip plastic. 2. the pulp, no matter what juice I make, I get pulp when I was expecting much less pulp. The quality of the juice is good, but I have to strain all the time. 3. I bought some accesories, the strainer is a totall ripoff, I have to use my own $1 strainer that works way much better that their price strainer. For the money you pay, it has to be something better out there........ The cleaning time is not that bad, but I have to say, juicing takes time no matter what machine you use and how coniniene it is... I repeat, the quality of the juice is very good (without the pulp)
I think most of these juicers will have a pulp residual. I have the Kuvings EVO830 but i may upgrade to the Kuvings AUTO10 Plus. It'll yield more juice for my liking, and I like that it has a stainless-steel blade.
When all else fails, read the instructions! Then you would have known how to put together the juicer! Are you receiving commissions/benefits from the Hurom?
I’m not a fan of the cheap juicers. They break easier and don’t work as well. Plus some of them come from dodgy Chinese factories that might use harmful microplastics. Not worth rolling the dice and risking your health in my opinion
Well for the heat you have to compare H400 with Nama J2, not H310 which is their travel version. The heat at the base is of the motor, bigger motor means more heat obviously. The heat at the auger is what is compared to centrifugal juicers, that’s where the enzymes are killed due to the heat.
Interesting how companies who make masticating juicers, always try to call them COLD press juicers. The only true cold press juicers are the commercial ones with the pulp bags. Granted, masticating juicers don't heat up the products like centrifugal juicers, but they try to make us think they're worth $550.
I bought this juicer for my wife at Christmas and I have to be honest we love it. I think some of the things you are pointing out as negative are things you're just pointing out just to have negatives for this video. I agree, putting it together the first time is not that intuitive but you can't call it a problem because you chose not to read the instructions. And once you figure it out, it takes about a minute to put it all together. You mentioned that you forget the lid comes off, how and why? That's actually a really nice feature that it comes off and it makes it easier to clean. Your test with the ginger doesn't seem realistic because it doesn't happen when you have multiple things in the hopper. And the cleanup is not bad at all. I don't have another one to compare it against. However, the cleanup process is very simple and easy to me. The reason I got this for my wife is the previous one she had she complained of what a pain it was to clean up And that's not the case with this one. Definitely appreciate you making this video however, I think you're reaching on some of the negatives.
That explains why I cannot find ANY decent reviews on the Omega Effortless Batch Juicer. I would love to see a comparison between the Nama J2 vs Omega Effortless Batch Juicer. I had the Omega Big Mouth Juicer for 15 years until the latch gave out. I also want to be able to juice leafy greens now, too.
Can you add the fruits and veggies whole or do you have to slice or chop them first? The juice I currently have allows me to just add a green apple through it, kale, etc without having to slice or chop them into smaller pieces which is a must-have for me.
I want to first off say it was a good video. I am a critical thinker like yourself and I was wondering why everyone was saying all these great things about the Nama and I wanted to find some negatives to see pros and cons. The Nama is one of the few products that is worth the hype. This video confuses me because I feel that after the conclusion of your tests it went against your answer stating it was overhyped. I say that because for one you pointed out that this and Hurom was made by the same manufacturer which was a great observation which shows that they were built pretty similar. So how can as you say the BMW of juicers manufacturer makes one overhyped product (Nama) and the other is nearly perfect (Hurom) with such small differences? In comparison to your Hurom video the Nama runs more quiet, it juices more on certain ingredients according to your scorecard and it isn't too far off on the ingredients in which the Hurom juices better all at a cheaper price. In my opinion by that alone it would make the Hurom overhyped. The thing which you said made the Nama overhyped all came down to preferences which honestly came as a bit of a reach. It came off that way because you mention the temperature was a con but you didn't mention the temperature in your Hurom H400 follow up video so why make it an issue to make the Nama overhyped and one of the cons? Then all the issues you had with your tests it seemed like the Hurom struggled with too for example the issue with the ginger being juiced. To make it simple and plain it all came down to the Nama is not better than the Hurom because it's not easier to clean which is one trade off which price wise you are paying more for that preference. The other cons were more nitpicking like the cap coming off during cleaning. Lasty when I hear the word overhyped I usually think that it is a handful of products better or that a competitor can do what it does for a fraction of the price. The Hurom H400 we are comparing this to is 100 dollars more, no coupon codes like you mention that tons of people who has reviewed the Nama have, you also mentioned that Nama has excellent customer service and a 10 year warranty. If I paid the same amount as the Hurom I can get a bigger hopper for the Nama which is less prep time cutting produce because you can fit a whole pineapple in it. So could you please explain to me what makes purchasing a 100 dollar cheaper device that usually have discount codes, which is made from the same manufacturer of the BMW of juicers, that runs more quiet beating the Hurom H400 in different tests, that is backed up by a 10 year warranty and has excellent customer service overhyped? The Nama hype is real but I do respect your difference of opinion.
It actually has a 15 year warranty on all parts. Not sure what made him think that it was only 10 years. Assembly is super easy to me and so is clean-up. The one thing that I agreed with him is regarding the lid but my issue is different. Sometimes, it seems to come off too easily when I lift it to load in more produce. Like the latch is a bit loose. I let Nama know and they promptly sent out a new one.
I think I messed up badly. Did not read that I have to put the chammber together before the hopper so now the chamber is totally locked and I cannot separate the parts. Can I fix this? 😢
I have seen so many Nama juicer videos on YT - while only looking for juice recipes - and I wonder why such an expensive juicer is made mainly of plastic! Also, I am really wondering at the marketing strategies of some influencers, claiming juicing would otherwise be a hassle and take so long - I use a blender (with a glass pitcher!) that was 70€ some years back. I then strain the "smoothie" through a strainer with the help of a ladle and press the pulp through a nut milk bag. Including cleaning that takes me at most 30 minutes for 1.5 L of juice. This often lasts me for a week. So, what seems to be so difficult and time consuming with affordable juicers? And how often do these buyers actually juice? I juice maybe once a week, every two weeks, but not always. The problem is more the freezer space and glass bottles to store the juice. I mean, I am happy for everyone who can afford a juicer for several hundred euros, but I dislike marketing it as if everything else is inferior, time consuming and frustrating - especially for the people watching to whom a 50 euro juicer is already expensive.
I thought about getting a Nama because every juicing channel was pushing it...but I decided on a Tribest Dynapro Blender with Alex's Nut milk Bags. I do Vacuum Blending/Juicing and have been very happy with the set up. I do understand that it isn't for everyone. I might get the Hurom some day or possibly the Nama. I don't like how every You Tuber/juicing fanatic is pushing the Nama because they get a percentage of the sales.
I switched from an Omega juicer (horizontal type) to a J2, but the J2 has a lot of parts and is a pain to clean and assemble, so I went back to the Omega juicer.
This review also seems very biased AGAINST Nama. The faults you found are not every day occurrences. I’ve owned the machine a year now and have juiced dozens of times, and have had a great experience every time. Keep in mind that issues can happen because of user error and not the fault of the machine. You mentioned you like to assemble machines without reading the directions. But you wouldn’t want a mechanic fixing your car without knowing what they were doing. As a consumer with real world experience using this product, I feel it is worth the premium price tag. The warranty is 15 years on motor and all parts, so that alone brings peace of mind.
Thank you for your honest feedback, I think this guy has a paid contract with Hurom or something…the way he’s speaking against Nama…and like you said he should have read the instructions first and foremost before assembling!!
I got mine last week and used it for the first time today. I really don't think this was a very responsible review because the quick start guide told you that you couldn't put the chamber on the base until you had included the auger and the things inside of it. So I did it the way they said to do it in the QUICK START GUIDE. I didn't have to Fumble with anything. The quick start guide also tells you that there are two wings and that's the two little places where you put the two grooves that you said was annoying. It's not annoying if you just glance at the quick start guide. I also don't think you have yours assembled properly because they told you that the auger should be flush with the top of the chamber and it looks like yours is sticking up. Maybe that's why the ginger got caught down there like that. You also threw your apples in first and then the broccoli and that's fine but they tell you the best way to layer things so that there's a natural pressure that occurs so you should have put the broccoli first and then the apples. I did notice that you put more apples afterward but it's so clear that you didn't bother with the quick start guide at all. This is a new toy for me and I am by no means an experienced juicer or really know what I'm doing so it's a brand new toy and I had zero problems. I'm really questioning if your motives here are authentic...
You can definitely put the hopper on with the lower pieces engaged, I do it all of the time. I have never had the problem with the lid, the pulp is drier than previous juicers. I didn’t see you actually do any live side by side COMPARISONS. As a Nama owner who did their research BEFORE purchasing , and who’s not an influencer; well let’s just agree to disagree .
I think you have to pack it more. I pack my nama J2 pretty full and nothing ever gets stuck between the blade for me. I got it a year ago. I do not like the way they did the lid either. Also nama J2 is $150 cheaper than the other juicer you mentioned if I looked up the correct one.
I appreciate this video review. This is the juicer that I have purchased. I have not received it yet. I did get a decent discount on the juicer plus it comes with a free sorbet attachment. I think this will be a good juicer to start with.
Is there a special promo code you used to get the free sorbet attachment along with a discount on the Nama J2? I just purchased one yesterday and had to pay for the sorbet attachment.
i have samson slow juicer since 2011. 13 yrs and going strong and had 15yr warranty but sadly the company no longer exists. i think omega bought them out bcuz they were too much competition. better quality and warranty lol😂
@@sprintkitchen9570 nah i'm good it's running like a dream and more powerful than these new cheaply made juicers. mine is also a meat mincer/grinder and can make past, noodles, ice-cream and sorbet at 500w and squeezing power up to 1.5 horsepower. damn thing weighs like 30lbs lol
after months of using this juicer the auger stopped fitting as much as i would turn it a place it in the right location it would not fit. not happy with this juicer
I think you really need to make large batches of plant matter in order for the machine to really do what it was designed to do. It's designed to make large batches not small.
Are we using the same juicer!?! I have a J2 for over a year and never experienced mushy fruits and vegetables. I don't have problems with the lid, and I'm very tough on my juicer and the Nama still keeps going. I never feel like its going to break. It's built pretty solid in my opinion. My juice is never warm, And it actually has a 15 year warranty on both motor and parts provided with great customer service.
Why is no one talking about how it went from $400 to $800? Might as well get a hydraulic juicer. I would never purchase another one at this newer price
Thanks for this review, although I wish I would have found you before I ordered 😆 I 100% agree with you about this juicer being over hyped. I love the convenience of this, it cuts my juicing time by more than half. Too much pulp for me though. I did expect more for this juicer. Oh my lid has never came off like that and I have zero problems with the lid. Maybe you can call them, it could be a problem with your lid. Thanks again for your review, i appreciated your honesty because I didnt find it in the reviews before purchasing.
Thanks! Yes you can but you have to be careful and remove all the coconut shells. If you accidentally put it into the Nama J2 it will break the juicing screen. The Hurom H400 doesn’t have a juicing screen so it’s more durable but still I’d be careful with both.
The temperature difference of 5⁰ C wouldn't seem as shocking to you had you done the math correctly. A measured temperature of 5⁰ C does equal 41⁰ F but a _difference_ of 5⁰ C equals a _difference_ of 9⁰ F. 30⁰ C is 86⁰ F and is not hot enough to do any damage to nutrients.
I started laughing when you couldn't get the assembly together. Clearly you didn't read the directions before using. It says you it wont go together. I did the same thing. Great review overall
It’s a breeze to assemble. Why not read instructions or watch videos first? I mean, I do that for any product I buy as a rule 😅 I feel the yield is good and pulp dry. Again, I followed their instructions on how to load the hopper. Not sure why someone would not read about what they bought. Plus, who juices once orange, or one tiny piece of ginger etc. The weight of ingredients push it all down. Celery…I cut it into about 2” pieces so nothing wraps around. This is a weird review. Nobody just buys something and tries to assemble/use it without reading how. Do you assemble a bbq with a drill, making holes wherever instead of reading what goes where? Do you approach building a house just standing there with a hammer and a piece of ply wood going … hmmm…where should I start? Lol
Got one for Christmas 2023 and have used it every day since (183 days). It's so worth it!
Nice! Yeah some people like Nama. It's different when you've owned both juicers and have been testing them for awhile. thank you for the honest review - so tired of paid advertising disguised as "product reviews"
Yes you are right. Just read an article earlier that said they are manufactured in the same place.
Thanks for your comment :) Yeah I thought that was interesting
I have one…I really rough it up with lots of hard veggies for big batches of juices…I use it every week for heavy duty juicing…I LOVE IT
This has got to be the most thorough review of any product I've seen! Thank you for going so in-depth with measuring the produce and juice yields!
I worked hard on these vids. Made my day! Thanks :)

Yup i’ll add that to the list
I have had mine 3 years and it’s working great. I load it as the directions say
Can you juice pineapple?
@@kateofone Yes, you can juice pineapple.
So, is it safe to say that I'm better off with sticking with my 1st gen Nama juicer, or upgrading to a Hurom altogether?
Interesting how companies who make masticating juicers, always try to call them COLD press juicers. The only true cold press juicers are the commercial ones with the pulp bags. Just looked it up and Nama worked with Hurom’s engineers to create their juicer to their specs. Very interesting.
I thought the same
Definitely getting this for my Christmas gift
Solid 🙌
You’ve got to juice it all together not individually for good results .
That’s what I was thinking too. And he needs to cut the celery and ginger smaller so the fibers don’t get caught.
That explains why I cannot find ANY decent reviews on the Omega Effortless Batch Juicer. I would love to see a comparison between the Nama J2 vs Omega Effortless Batch Juicer. Yeah you can so that, just extra work

I think you have to pack it more. I pack my nama J2 pretty full and nothing ever gets stuck between the blade for me. I got it a year ago. I do not like the way they did the lid either. Also nama J2 is $150 cheaper than the other juicer you mentioned if I looked up the correct one.
Nice review!
Thank you!
Great review!!!!!!
Thank you!
Will that hopper fit on a J1?
Not sure
Honestly, i just got it and it IS amazing!
Glad you like it! I think it’s decent too but wound up using the Hurom H400 more
I've had mine going into 3 years love it 👍
Nice 👍
I appreciate this video review. This is the juicer that I have purchased. I have not received it yet. I did get a decent discount on the juicer plus it comes with a free sorbet attachment. I think this will be a good juicer to start with.
Nice 👍 Hope you like it!
Is there a special promo code you used to get the free sorbet attachment along with a discount on the Nama J2? I just purchased one yesterday and had to pay for the sorbet attachment.
Can you please review the Optimum 600XXL
Cant find any objective reviews, only from the suppliers
Never heard of that one…Is optimum the name of the brand?
Please do this for the Kuvings Revo 830 I’m leaning towards that
I have a video on the channel that compares REVO vs H400 vs J2
Review the Kuving Auto10
It’s on the list
THANKS MAN! THIS HELPED...
Appreciate that!
do i get my warranty from the company
Yes when you buy the juicer they give you an automatic 15 year warranty
i have samson slow juicer since 2011. 13 yrs and going strong and had 15yr warranty but sadly the company no longer exists. i think omega bought them out bcuz they were too much competition. better quality and warranty lol😂
Haha yep - might be time for an upgrade
@@sprintkitchen9570 nah i'm good it's running like a dream and more powerful than these new cheaply made juicers. mine is also a meat mincer/grinder and can make past, noodles, ice-cream and sorbet at 500w and squeezing power up to 1.5 horsepower. damn thing weighs like 30lbs lol
How much does itcost
$550
after months of using this juicer the auger stopped fitting as much as i would turn it a place it in the right location it would not fit. not happy with this juicer
Sorry to hear that
Put water in it and soap to clean it - run it through and it cleans it too
Great tip 👌But sometimes I found if you juice things like ginger, you’ve got to give it a good wash otherwise you’ll taste it in your other juices
Which cold press juicier would you recommend?
This one is my fave rn:

1:53 40 -chief- chef crafted 😂
Lol thanks chief
Hey Daisy! Haha no worries. Really appreciate your comment :)
How about coconut milk
Yeah you can make that. Just have to be super careful you don’t break the juicing screen
Funny you start out with all the influencers Nama has but then shill your book within the first 2 minutes. :). Good review overall.
Thanks I guess lol
It’s pretty slow, especially with cabbage, but it’s great with watermelon rind.
Hi, great review, can you juice the hard stuff in the Nama? like coconut? to make milk and Oil?
Thanks! Yes you can but you have to be careful and remove all the coconut shells. If you accidentally put it into the Nama J2 it will break the juicing screen.
The Hurom H400 doesn’t have a juicing screen so it’s more durable but still I’d be careful with both.
Not for $550 it's an easy past. Thanks for providing feedback. I gave you video a like anyway, and your channel a follow.
Thanks angel 😊
It’s nothing more than your average vertical slowjuicer, it just has a preloader attached.
That guy could sell me anything… Easy. (!) lol! 😂
Lol appreciate that
Best review ever!
Thank you :)
love nama🎉
i love it 🤷🏽♂️
My juicer just stop working, after 5 use. Help
You are asking the wrong people for help. Contact whoever you bought it from
Uh oh that’s not good :/ Try contacting Nama
I think the kuvings juicer is better😮
I compared the Auto10 vs J2 here in case you want to check it out:
th-cam.com/video/D9fkgOomK4E/w-d-xo.html
The temperature difference of 5⁰ C wouldn't seem as shocking to you had you done the math correctly. A measured temperature of 5⁰ C does equal 41⁰ F but a _difference_ of 5⁰ C equals a _difference_ of 9⁰ F. 30⁰ C is 86⁰ F and is not hot enough to do any damage to nutrients.
I started laughing when you couldn't get the assembly together. Clearly you didn't read the directions before using. It says you it wont go together. I did the same thing. Great review overall
Thank you 🙏
Re inventing the wheel. I just eat fruit whole.
It's also a batch juicer and your not batching
I got one and its the best
Niccee
Lol
fair point

Plus it is self feeding
It has a 15 year warranty not a 10-year warranty my friend.
Got to get your facts straight when you're making video reviews on products.
Why not just read the manual before attempting to assemble the juicer like EVERY INTELLIGENT PERSON IN THE WORLD would do?
Hurom makes Nama
I hate people who don't read the instructions........... wtf
I only use less than 20 times, then the juicer become more residue in the juice, no reason, so I gave up to use it,
