Om Shanti Satpal Singh Ji !
Thanks a lot for describing "The True Meaning of Shiv-Shakti" very beautifully !
But I have one question below if you may address :
If our soul, our consciousness, our life force and our body is not ours or is not ourselves then "WHO AM I" or "WHO ARE WE" ??
      My Current Belief System :
We all are Souls(Atma) possessing the body and perform karam. God is Supreme Soul(ParamAtma) who is nirankaar, nirakaar, nirvair. We connect with him and get this blessings. This process is called Yog/Rajyog. Best time to connect with him is early morning 3AM - 5AM (Amritwela)

Sir, this if for sure that v r not this body & mind.
To experince nothingness.... we r not even the consciousness etc...I will advice u to listen to "Niravana Shatakam composed by Adi Shankracharya". The experience of nothingness is inexplicable.

I think there is no diff. B/w us. Our Ethnicity is Hindu , Our Religion is Dharma , Dharma Has Many Panths in it I call them Paths. these Panths ACC to its nature called the Vaishnava Dharma Shiv dharma Sikh dharma or We call Khalsa panth Kabir panth advait panth etc.
The root of paths are the same and that is god and salvation from cycle of life.

No, he's a true Sikh describing his Indian culture. Sikhs aren't a different religion. They're part of Sanatan Dharma. There's a reason why a lot of Sikh gurus were named after Vishnu and Krishna (Hari, Govind etc). Sikhism isn't some new religion, because there never was such a thing as religion in India. It's another interpretation of Indian philosophy.

1:50 - I made a whole painting on just this line from Guru ji's bani.
Interestingly, if you look at the crescent moon on Shiv ji's forehead, and then go outside at night, look at the actual crescent Moon. You will notice that Moon sits up there, up in the night sky, up on a black expanse, resting in the vast darkness of nothingness. Shiv ji is that Nothingness. A True Yogi knows this Nothingness, when he goes deep inside himself, and turns his mind away from the bodily senses, and into its Source.

And it is based on your work not by birth. Remember the Rishi who wrote Vedas, puranas, Upanisads etc his name is Rishi vyasa and he himself was sudra and then he became Brahman.
Castism came after British just to divide us

Great explanation, Hindu culture is poetic and there are more than one ways of looking at everything. Shiva’s snake also represents that his Vishuddhi Chakra is full activated which attracts the snake (also giving a bluish colour to his throat) and snake also represents that he has completely mastery over his emotions/thoughts because one wrong thought of fear and anxiety- the snake will bite him. So he is passing the “snake test” for yogis which a lot of other yogis strive to pass as well and some do pass. The ash represents - he has burnt all his inner desires to ash and even though he goes around doing worldly things - he doesn’t get entangled-while being completely absorbed/involved in those things because with his third eye - ajna chakra fully activated he has burnt everything inside him to ashes.

Shiva is the breath in you.
When the mind sbusides in sleep, there is only breath left. That state is Siva.
Once when we wake up, the mind is projected outside, that is called Shakti.
So, the mind when projcted outside, the world appears. When the mind is focussed inward ( in sleep) there is no world ( in our expeience).
The mind when sbusides is Siva & when projcted outside is sakti.

Pavan .kumar Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are just cosmic allegories for the conscious, immortal, immutable, self luminous, immanent (conscious self/ athma ) transcendent and omnipresent Brahman or the cosmic self. Their wives (shakhti, lakshmi and saraswathi) are just cosmic allegories for intelligent energy. Husband and wife always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. Eg Manifestation/concealment duality cycles of the universe. Shiva and shakthi (concealment), Vishnu and Lakshmi (sustain or dharma or balance) and Brahma and saraswathi (manifestation).
Another example is summer/winter sustained by fall or spring. Point is 3 basic material constituents (or the 3 material gunas Rajas/Sathvik/Tamas) and qualities associated with them are manifested by the Shiva/Vishnu/Brahma + Shakthi/Lakshmi/Saraswathi combination. 3 GUNAS further differentiate into 5 elements. The modern world knows this as Yin-Yang . Tamas -Rajas or Yin-Yang duality of intelligent energy or shakthi is mediated by the consciousness of Purusha or Brahman. It is preserved by Sattva of Dvaita mode.
It also means "Tat Tvam Asi'' meaning - You (conscious and immanent athma) are (already) that (conscious, omnipresent and transcendent Shiva) regardless of whether there is 'self realization" or not because without the conscious, immanent/omnipresent athma nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or no duality cycles of nature can happen. Identification with thoughts and body is just an illusion created by avidya (lack of knowledge) and also by the experience of individual 5 senses by the conscious and immanent athma even though it is NOT the doer. Conscious and omnipresent athma is like a silk thread which goes through different pearls (animate and inanimate) if you think in terms of an analogy.

He rejected traditional western religious beliefs (Jewish, Christian, and Islamic) not on the basis of any reasoned argument, nor even with an expression of emotional antipathy, for he loved to use religious expressions and metaphors, but simply by saying that they are naïve--and will NOT understand Quantum theory and consciousness.

Wow thank you. I am happy to see a Sikh channel that proudly embraces Sikhism Hindu heritage and philosophies. I'm like you a British Sikh and fortunately I was born into a household where I grew up watching the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Puranas. I had a very romantic view of ancient India, a world of Rishi munis, gods, spirituality and meditation and Sikhism of the gurus was just one of many traditions in this very ancient religion. I grew up fascinated with the Vedas and started reading the Vedas myself in my teenage. But I soon realized my enthusiasm was not shared in Gurdwaras, who insisted on a separatist identity, who would literally translate Nanak's famous saying "I am neither Hindu or muslim" as his rejection of Hinduism. They would make fun of Hinduism. This really put me off and I basically stopped identifying as a Sikh. I was put off with the fundamentalism and separatism that was being taught in British Gurdwaras. I met Sikhs at my uni Sikh society who didn't even identify as Indian and supported breaking India forces and khalistan. So the joy it brings me to see I'm not the only Sikh who sees absolute oneness between Sikhism and Hinduism is immense.
You are doing such a great service to Sikhs by enlightening them about Hinduism. It is my view you must understand Hinduism in order to understand Sikhism better, otherwise we won't understand what is shiva/Shakti, ram, Nirguna Brahman, Maya, Moksha in Sikh scripture. When we read advaita and poems of Shankara like aatma shatakam only then we appreciate what Nanak meant when he said "I am neither hindu or Muslim"
