Great video! I heard this wonderful band for the first time back in 1987, when it played on a jazz festival in Den Bosch (Jazz in Duketown), the Netherlands. I was so amazed to hear a modern band play exactly like the dance bands from the 20s (and not in Dixieland style , like so many bands do...) And it even came from the other side of the Iron Curtain (which fell 2 years later)!
Fantastic is right! Absolutely spot on. I enjoyed OPSO in a whole new way after watching the great stuff you dug up for Sophomore... I think a bunch of us will be hoping for more!
Hey Biff!
What makes me mad is that I am an American and no modern recreation band I have ever heard here even comes close to the authenticity of this band playing 1920’s jazz. Why is it a band from Czechoslovakia can play better more authentic American jazz of the 1920’s than any band here in the United States? Jazz is America’s music and not Czechoslovakia’s.
That's odd . . . . . . Victor 22405 is a Maurice Chevalier issue: Livin' in the sunlight, lovin' in the moonlight; and You brought a new kind of love to me. Both were recorded on 4 April 1930.

Nice job making a video for a good song. Great channel . Thanks for sharing.

It's a made-up label, this is a 1974-75 recording. I have the Maurice Chevalier Victor also.
This was great! I think that's Cliff Edwards on the right at 1:07?

especially of interest are the clips at 1:07 and 2:20
