Hehe thank you for that reaction! I made that didgeridoo myself from bamboo, so it is not as heavy as specimens made of eucalyptus ;-)

Haha, ty Claire! I just knew you'd fall for this one when I mentioned a "very big flute" would show up 😂 Cheers!
EDIT: you'll remember flutist extraordinaire Thijs van Leer from your previous Ayreon reaction, no doubt? Well, he was also quite the keyboard/organ virtuoso (Focus, anyone?). So I think Joost van den Broek on the Hammond here was sort of channeling Thijs, which makes that solo "flutiful" by proxy ;)

This wonderful Hammond solo was originally played by Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) in the studio version

Ayreon live.. it doesn't get any better 😅 and was that Floor I saw briefly at the end, and her sister too.

Nope. Those female singers at the end were Irene Jansen, Lisette van den Berg, Maggy Luyten and Marcela Bovio.

Not sure why it is not flutiful, is that because there is no flute in it of because it is not full of flute? In the first case there might be a language divide here. In Dutch (Jeroen is Dutch, just as Arjen), a "Fluit" (same word as the english flute) is a more generic term that includes among others the recorder, the tin whistle, and your flute. The latter is called a 'dwarsfluit' in Dutch, which simply thanslates to a flute that is played sideways. I am always puzzled why there does not seem to be an english equivalent of that more generic term.

German is similar to Dutch here: "Flöte" is the generic term, the recorder is the "Blockflöte" (block flute), a concert flute is a "Querflöte" (transverse flute), and a tin whistle is a kind of "Schnabelflöte" (fipple flute). So they're all flutes, and it's not like in English where loads of people will insist that whistles are not flutes. Oh well ...
