  • Join Chair Nerds Brandy & Dave for a tour of the chair museum at Silver River Center for Chair Caning (13 min). See the new filming studio, new acquisitions, and revisit some favorite chairs on the chair wall. Learn about the process of rush and splint weaving and what the chair nerds have been up to in 2020. Cameo by shop dog Rosie will not disappoint.

Hello from San Antonio. Awesome tour! I saw so many interesting and beautiful examples there and you are both so good at teaching about their history. I have used your video on making a rush seat to put a seat on a Hitchcock chair yesterday and I have two more to go. I couldn’t have done it without you, so a big thank you for that. You are an excellent teacher and make it look so easy, while all the while making it clear that it is hard work, lol. Mine doesn’t look nearly as nice as yours does, but I’m hoping the next will turn out a little better. Thanks again, y’all! I have a seat!

Aww...thank you for the kind words! And congratulations on weaving your chair. Rush is tricky and there is no substitute for getting your hands on more chairs. Wish you the best on your next projects!
