Great interview. Regarding Marquez and his insane talent I remember Rossi saying a few years back that Marquez's desire was "a completely other level". Crazy ride last weekend, another insane front end save, then racing through the pack from 20th to 3rd and then horror crash, OMG.
It was unbelievable wasn’t it, feel so sorry for him it looked nasty.

Loved the comment about his favourite year , I was spannering for a supercup 125 rider and they were all a great bunch - he fitted in well and got a good apprenticeship . Never forget his mum coming to find him EVERY meeting " come on Neil 9 o'clock , toilet and bed ..."

I remember when you came in second at Daytona and I thought he can do it this year, but I think you got hurt in training. I lived in England for 4 years as a kid and just always liked British riders.They just always seem to have more heart than most riders. That goes for F1 and bike racers. I never wanted to leave the UK and never got to go back, so I just pull for the Brits out of love for the whole United Kingdom. And Neil can tell a good story like Jamie, and the other Niall. Great video!

Great interview Taylor, Marquez not only has unbelievable talent and a huge desire to win but i also have to give credit to HRC, they bring him the bike when he needs it, do you remember that Vinales Yamaha saga, Marquez does what he does, stays quiet, gets on with it, all the whilst HRC are sorting the bike for him to win, a couple of years ago Ducati down the straights, no one could touch them, HRC saw to that, all of a sudden the Honda was as quick down the straight. :)

Really like Neil - he's always down-to-earth - no pretentions or ego. I remember seeing your dad's NSX at Brands one year. Amazed Neil still has his XR2 ... I asked if he still had it during a paddock walk when he was signing autographs in BSB (many years ago), and I was amazed he still had it then! Does your dad still have the NSX? It would be worth an absolute fortune now!

Lol just watched this one again, talking about how good MM93 is and who can bring it….,wow wat a difference a year odd had install!! Apart from MMs accident that’s wrecked him, half of the riders neil mentioned ain’t even in it as of now Dovi, Vinales! 😂 still his prediction of Quartararo was spot on… deffo this years champ! Made me chuckle lookn back at how we all thought how it was gona go and in reality was nothing like! No one would have guessed the rise and fall of MM! Hope he can get back to his old self, was there yesterday at Silverstone, his crazy move was right where we was sitting… schoolboy error, shocking really but hope he can sort his shit out, hard seeing him struggle after the years of magical mastery on a bike!!! Great Chanel mate, keep up the good work… oh and sack ur mechanic lol 😇🏁

I camped over at Oulton years ago,,, I forgot my sleeping bag,, but I got talking to shaun Rose in the bar that evening about racing and stuff,, I mentioned I'd left my sleeping bag at home,, he said no worries mate I've got one spare, and lent me one 👍 that sums bsb up for me!

Hodgy is always good value in an interview, a thoroughly good egg. You should do an interview with your dad, and then a look at some of his memorabilia.

When your talking about a burning desire what about Mick Doohan on the evil 2 strokes that wanted to kill the rider every time you tried to ride them hard , and compare that desire with Marques on the rider friendly 4 stroke , how would he get on with a 2 stroke , just a thought , cheers

100% and not just for adrianna and his girls but to have so much talent and raw ability to just walk away from the sport goes to show just how messed up it was for him. Also shows just how much work now goes into the young ones coming up to desensitise them to the elite world of gp and make it the normal for them. But in turn at what cost? They become uptight little twats that become pr correct for the sake of a $$$

When i started racing in 86’ some twit knock me flying wrecked my bike 1st race, I didn’t have money to race for 5 races then the next race i started 7th on grid and on lap 2 the guys 2 corners behind me had an accident and a flying bike knocked me off broke me collar bone and wrecked my new bike. It’s a bloody hard game when you get a bit of bad luck.
That’s some rubbish luck Michael! It can certainly be testing mentally, physically and financially!
No idea who Hodgson uses for an ISP/mobile data carrier, but every video I've watched of him using video chat has been crap quality. (his own podcast channel videos suffer as well)
Either way, the interview was fantastic, you've definitely got a future in broadcasting/commentating after you hang up your leathers.
