Love your videos, they are really good quality surprised you don't have more followers! nice brown trout, it has a very different pattern than English brown trout.

Thank you Aaron, just started the YT journey last year in June… but your comment helps and on my side I think there’s still a lot of room to develop. You are right, I think Mediterranean brownies have different patterns, I’ve seen those stripes on Rapala lures before haha… then turns out it wasn’t just a Finnish fantasy 😁

Hello I’m from Barcelona and I’m a big fishing enthusiast as well. Would like to meet up and join for a fishing trip if that’s okay? Really liked the video.

Hey there, I am happy you liked the video! :) I am rather a lone wolf when it comes to fishing, sorry!

I might visit Barca mid February. Is it worth take rods width or fishing in winter in Spain is not that good?

It depends what you'd like to target. Carp seem to be pretty active, grey mullets and small saddled breams, etc can be caught with bait. I am still figuring out lure stuff though... I will keep trying bass & chub. Consider subscribing and you'll get some updates/ tips until your travel.

Booked the flight and started to survey the google maps in vicinity of the city. I have never caught a mullet and saddled bream, so I might spend about two days in saltwater to do that, or catch whatever odd fish bites. I located the *Rampa mar Bella* you showed on your video and keep looking for more scenic locations at the beach. I also intend to take a day or two to travel and fish Ebro river and possibly return there catfishing during summer. I won't do any carp fishing, except on a float now, if opportunity presents itself. My goal would be catching random southern fish species and have a good time.
I will bring the 50-150g 4m heavy rod for sea bottom fishing, I use it for jigging a sabikis at the pier for Sil / Mackrel / Garfish (chek my chann) + I can cast a sonar with it. It will also do for casting big-baits for catfish or bottom fishing in the river. Another rod will be all-rounder medium spinning rod.
From what I have researched this far, I will have to buy multiple fishing licences: the general one and additional for the specific locations. Can you recommend good english speaking fishing store in Barca that would be able to sort me out, and also point out more locations (piers, estuaries, rivers, ponds). It seems many rivers and even reservoirs can completely dry out seasonally, which is absolutely unheard of where I come from.

@@ChrisWhite.fishing Wow, you're really not messing around with this trip. 🙌 All sounds good, I think bottom fishing for sea bream (etc..) with bait is your best bet around the pier but I have zero experience on that. People seem to be catching during the dark. Jigging could be also good, but the water is not so deep around here and it's almost all sand. I had limited success with rubber jigs and I intend investigate this matter further in the coming weeks. Big rivers like the Llobregat & Ter never dry out 🤞for lakes, I made a few video on Banyoles which is an easy access. You can expect bass there, though winter is super difficult. You have to buy a license, which is enough for the sea and some parts of the rivers (which can be checked only by the signs on bank...🤦). For the rest you also need to buy a ticket. I've seen better systems, it's a little intimidating but it's doable. I copy the links for you here.
